How did you attract/address your audience?

Magazines most often attract their audience through the front cover. My magazine is no different as I have attracted my audience through the content featured on my front cover. On my front cover I offer Exclusive interviews with Rap artists and used a large image of the artist. This can help draw the attention of the audience and can be eye catching. This also stands for the colour scheme as the target audience will recognise the colours. I have also combined contrasting colours together to give a more stand out effect.

I also attracted my audience through the price of my magazine. The price is also an important factor when drawing in my audience. Because my audience is those of low demographics I would sell the magazine at a low price of £2.99. Also to relate to my audience I have addressed my audience with colloquial language and used colloquial language throughout my magazine. I have used this language because it is relatable for my audience and is easily understandable.

XXL is a higher class magazine and covers more successful artists in the present and not there past. The magazine features high end advertisements and promotes a wealthy life style. Therefore it is a high priced magazine.
