Personal Brand Process7 Steps to Building a Powerful Personal Brand
2
Uncover Who You AreDiscovering Your Archetypes is an exciting start to building a personal brand that reflects who you truly are, and expresses your ‘why.’ Through the power of authenticity, your brand can help you attract the right conversations.
The goal of this 7-step brand-building process is to reflect on your strengths and stories, the themes of your life, and use them as a blueprint for language and art that represent your purpose and how you show up in the world.
LET’S GET STARTED.
3
CultureTalk SurveyBy now, you should have completed the CultureTalk Personal Archetyping Survey.
Record your score for each of the 12 Archetypes here.
4
Archetypal ProfileChoose your Primary and two Supporting Archetypes. Consider looking beyond just your top three
numerical scores. While these may be a good starting place, odds are there’s more to your story. Your Primary and Supporting Archetypes may come from any of your higher-scoring Archetypes.
In addition to your CultureTalk Report, you can explore other intriguing storylines through the 12 “Meet the Archetypes” presentations that are included in this course. Then determine the three Archetypes you feel
most connected to and determine which is the primary force in your life.

InventoryHow do each of these Archetypes show up in your life? Begin a list under each, noting the strengths and the shadow sides of the Archetype that resonate with you. Add to the list any beliefs, habits, attitudes,
or even choices and outcomes that demonstrate how you are living these stories. Decide if these are strengths and shadows.

operating from that Archetypal storyline. What does it look, feel and sound like?

manifest themselves in your life. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Initial list of ideas.
1. Go back through your CultureTalk report and pull words and phrases that resonate;
2. Do the same with Step 3 (Your Inventory) and Step 4 (Your Stories).

Expand your list.
• A thesaurus or dictionary
• A website with foreign expressions
• Literary references, including authors and characters
• Famous historical figures
• Your favorite songs, quotes and poems
3. Expand that initial list of ideas by using other inspirational resources:

BeliefsCreate a list of 3-5 statements that reflect your deepest values. Go back to Step 5 (Your Word Wall)
and highlight the words and phrases that feel strongest to you. Turn these into “I Believe” statements. Your statements can represent each of your Archetypes alone, or you can try combining and blending the
Archetypes into statements that are uniquely ‘you’.

TaglineWrite a tagline that captures who you are and summarizes your brand purpose. A tagline might be a single
sentence, short phrase or series of words. It should say it all in the shortest number of words possible. Brainstorm ideas below. You should be able to tie each word back to an Archetype in your profile. You
should be able to use it to introduce who you are, what you do, how you do it and why. Highlight the one tagline that best delivers on these objectives.
