A. Inner rotor design with good tightness. Level of protection: IP54

B. Radial tile-shaped permanent magnet rotor magnetic circuit structure: flux density

is 10-15% higher than traditional Tangential magnetic circuit.

C. Generator fractional slot winding: generator design adopts fractional slot winding;

lower output harmonic component of generator; lower waveform distortion; lower

startup resist moment. All of these make wind turbine startup with lower wind

speed.

D. Special electromagnetic load design: not only consider of generator capacity, but

also improve generator’s overload capacity by 1.5 times.

E. Larger cooling area: generator cooling area is over 2.5 times comparing with Stator

outer circumference area. The temperature rise is always lower than 85 degree with

long time running with 1.2 times to full output power.

3.5 Rotating supporting mechanism

(1) It adopts a special rotating system which is suitable for small and medium wind

turbine. Good stable ability for yawing.

(2) It adopts yawing brake mechanism. It helps gear box to avoid tired which be

caused by wind rotor pressure. This makes yawing mechanism have a longer service

life.

After wind rotor lose power and slow down, brake mechanism will brake wind rotor

axis with disc brake, wind rotor stop rotating.

(3) Auto brake PLC controller

Auto brake PLC controller detects wind speed, voltage, current, grid power state and

other signals, and control wind turbine brake or running.

3.6.2 Brake principle

Auto brake principle

(1) Over wind speed brake:

PLC controller detect wind speed, when wind speed is over 18m/s, PLC controller

send brake signal, brake relay close, brake mechanism start brake. When PLC

controller detects in position signal, stop braking.

(2) Over voltage brake:

PLC controller detects wind turbine controller voltage signal, when voltage is over

560VDC, PLC controller send brake signal, and brake mechanism start brake. When

PLC controller detects in position signal, stop braking.

(3) Over current brake:

PLC controller detects wind turbine output current signal, when current is over 45A,

PLC controller send brake signal, brake mechanism start brake. When PLC controller

detects in position signal, stop braking.

(4) Grid power failure brake:

PLC controller detects grid power signal, when there is a grid power failure, PLC

controller will send brake signal, brake wind turbine and send alarm signal.

(5) Brake release

After PLC controller finish brake, it will continue detect average wind speed in

45minutes, if wind speed is less than 12m/s, PLC will send brake release signal,

brake mechanism start to release brake. When PLC controller detect in position

signal, stop brake releasing.

3.6.3 Variable pitch brake process

(Take over wind speed as example to explain variable pitch brake process)

(1) Anemometer detects wind speed signal, and send wind speed signal to Auto

brake PLC controller,

(2) Auto brake PLC controller receives wind speed signal, and send brake signal out,

(3) Auto winch receive brake signal and start,

(4) Wind rotor blade angle change into negative angle by auto winch, wind rotor lose

power, rotating speed slow down,

(5) Brake mechanism start, brake wind turbine

3.7 Anemometer and dogvane

Dogvane

Dogvane detects the real wind direction. When the PLC controller detects that the

wind turbine is diverged with main wind direction about ≥15° in continuous 2 minutes,

the control center will start up lift-yawing or right yawing to find the right wind direction.

When is test that the wind turbine faces to right wind direction, it stops yawing.

3.8 Yawing control and cable-release function

3.8.1 Yawing brake

(1)When the PLC control center tests the immediately wind speed comes up to

25m/s, it will send yawing order to make wind turbine avoid wind direction about 90

degrees.

When PLC control center tests that variable pitch brake is failure, it will send order

to make wind turbine diverge wind direction about 90 degrees. This ensures wind

turbine safety.

3.8.2 Yawing cable-release

When the wind turbine runs for a long time, the cable may be twine because of the

long working time and wind direction changeable. When the yawing cable-release

inspection mechanism tests that wind turbine rotates 2 circumferences which is

calculative in one wind direction, it will rotate in negative direction.

4. RW- 30kW features

intelligent electrical system, admitting the best wind turbine control technology and

combing variable pitch wind turbine characteristics. The hardware was chose by the

software adopts redundancy control strategy to ensure system running safe and

reliable. System has strong extendibility; it can match with all kinds of famous brand

inverter and remote monitor module. It meet client's requirement of one-stop service.

4.1.1 Intelligent protection

15 redundancy safety protection measurements: Yawing brake protection for power

failure, such as over voltage, over current, over rotating speed, over temperature, low

pressure and so on; sensor failure protection for voltage, current, rotating speed, wind

speed, wind direction; system failure emergency brake protection for yawing and

variable pitch failure; protection for "inverter is out of net"; stop at over wind speed;

restart function as low wind speed and so on. All of these measurements ensure wind

turbine running safety and reliable.

The dogvane can inspect wind direction at real time then ensure wind turbine finding

frequency.

The blade angle is minus value under variable pitch when wind speed is over than

rated wind speed. It makes system have a stable rated output power.

4.3 Fail Safe design

In extremely conditions, if all protection failed, Unique Fail safe design of Renergy will

work, wind turbine blade will become feathering, wind turbine stop. The last fail safe
