Why IPC Media Would Be A Good Distributor

‘IPC Media’ have a massive range of magazines in which they distribute. However, they are not all music magazines, so this does mean they lack the motive of delivering music magazines. Considering this, they do distribute a huge music magazine ‘NME’ this is one of the most well known magazines. With all of ‘IPC Media’s business and magazine links/experience I think they would be an ideal company to distribute my magazine, especially because they distribute to a huge range of audience niche and mass. This would therefore suggest they could deliver any genre or type of magazine as long as it is going to offer good quality and good sales. Overall, I think that ‘IPC Media’ would be definitely be an option to distribute my magazine, they have the experience and magazine distribution experience to host a new music magazine in a niche audience (Hip-hop).

About Bauer MediaOur magazine heritage stretches back to 1953 with the launch of Angling Times and the acquisition in 1956 of Motor Cycle News, both still iconic brands within our portfolio.

The seeds of the company’s radio business were planted in 1990 with the acquisition of London dance station Kiss FM (now called Kiss 100), followed by the acquisition of Liverpool's Radio City and later by TWC and the Metro Group. Then came the acquisition of Melody FM which was transformed into the market-leading Magic 105.4.

In 1994, the company bought a small magazine called For Him Magazine which is now the core of the best-selling international multi-platform brand FHM.

In 1996, we acquired digital music TV channel The Box, as a route into the small screen business, which has grown into Box Television, a seven channel joint venture TV business with Channel 4.

Continuing its history of magazine launches, Closer was launched in 2002 and Britain’s first weekly glossy, GRAZIA, was launched in 2005.

Today, Bauer Media spans over 80 influential brand names covering a diverse range of interests including heat – the must have weekly celebrity title, Parkers, MATCH!, CAR and Yours.

Why Bauer Media Would Be A Good Distributor

‘Bauer Media’ have links throughout all of the media fields and this leads to them distributing to a huge amount of mass and niche audience through various different medias. Predominantly, magazines and music magazines. This leads on to the main reasons why Bauer Media could distribute a magazine like ‘Bass’. Firstly, they have the connections and advertising abilities to secure a successful distribution of any magazine. Plus, they also distribute music magazines in various genres such as ‘Kerrang’ (Rock) and they have a gap in the market for the distribution of a Hip-hop genre magazine. Finally, with all the experience, brand associates and expertise ‘Bauer Media’ could definitely sucessfully distribute my music magazine by advertising and exhibiting my magazine ‘Bass’ in the niche audience genre (Hip-hop).
