The capital city of Slovakia – Bratislava
Capital city of Slovak republic is proud for its history, but also for its cultural-historical landmarks. It is situated in the south-west of Slovakia stretches on both banks of the Danube and in the foothills of the Little Carpathian Mts. This strategically important place has often played a big role in the history of central Europe. The most attractive part of Bratislava is the Old Town where the most historical sights as well as cultural institutions are concentrated. Its tiny lanes offer an ideal atmosphere for romantic walks to those who love to follow signs of history in the middle of modern world. The significant structures in the historic centre of the city are all parts of the Monument Town Reserve.
Bratislava Castle
Dominant of Bratislava – Bratislava Castle lies on castle-hill, 85 meters above water level of Danube river. Its history reaches 11th century. It contains exhibitions of Slovak National Museum.
I have also visited beautiful dominant

turned over.
Slavin
Slavin is memorial devoted to Soviet Soldiers, deceased during World Wars II. on area of Western Slovakia. It is the only operating army cemetery in Bratislava. It was built in 1957 – 1960. Slavin was pronounced a National cultural landmark.

surrounding.
„Presporacik“
If we are tired, we can take a ride with
popular vehicle „Presporacik“ around Old City
´s landmarks.
Old TownTodays Townhall appearance is result of its architectural development, which was marked with structure changes and rebuildings from 14th century until present day. Your will be impresed by beautiful renaissance arcades on forecourt.
You can have some rest on
square in front of Townhall
all year long. That is where
Christmas market takes
place every year.
We warm ourselves with
hot tea, served by
handicapped people.
St. Martin Cathedral
The biggest, oldest and most beautiful Bratislava´s cathedral was coronation cathedral during 1563 – 1830.
I also received crown from
children, just like Maria
Theresa.
Splendid rococo palace with decorative park was built by Anton Grassalkovich in 1760. in front of palace, which is aedes of President of Slovak Republic, is court d´honneur.

Devin Castle stands on massive rocky hill above the junction of rivers Danube and Morava. It was built on place of former hill-fort. It was first mentioned in 1271.
Zvedavka, why couldn't I

There were a lot of excellent masters of pottery working in Modra and their pottery got also top awards on international exhibitions.
Modra is our first stop on our travel acrossSlovakia.
Bojnice
This is one of the most beautiful and one of the most visited castles, not only in Slovakia, but in central Europe. Its present form is a result of rebuild in 19th century. Days of ghosts take place here every year.
