Karen Fitzsimons. PSSA CRICKET - Our Senior Cricket Team played in our 6th Grand Final in the last 7 years at Montview Oval last Friday against Turramurra P.S. We bowled first and did a good job to keep a good batting team to 58 runs from their 12 overs. The best bowlers were: Lucas H. (1/2), Maanav S. (maiden), Riley P. (0/2), Josh R. (1/5) and Jordan W. (0/3). Our run chase always lacked momentum, as we finished with a total of 36 runs. Congratulations boys on a successful and enjoyable season. You’re all wonderful representatives of our school with the skills and determination you’ve displayed, as well as the fair and encouraging spirit that you always play with. Well done to Ian A. and Lucas H. for your excellent leadership of the team. Thank you to Mrs Westwood, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Amarasinghe, Mrs Apostoloff, Mrs Thurbon, Mr & Mrs Ackland, Mr Pearson and Mrs Sahni for driving the boys to and from their matches during the season. Dear Everyone,

This year our school is going to use one of our most popular End of Year events to raise money for our precious native wildlife and national icon. Each child is asked to bring a gold coin whether they are a performer or an audience member. This way we can adopt more than one Koala. Our adoption helps with the rescue and treatment of sick and injured koalas and release back to their home range where possible. Our adoption will also assist with the conservation and expansion of habitat, collection of information for research relating to habitat, disease, nutrition and habits of wild koalas. It also helps to provide educational material to increase public awareness of all aspects of the koala. Below are pictures of the first 3 koala’s to be rescued during the fires. The more money we raise the more animals we can save and adopt. Three Burns Victims from the recent Fires – LINR (Lake Innes Nature Reserve) Anwen, LINR Paul, LINR Peter – These three koalas were the first to be rescued from the firegrounds at Lake Innes Nature Reserve
