  • Our students are enjoying being back at school. Our new K-2 playground is being well used too.

The meetings will be divided into Grade groups, e.g. 3 Year 1 classes from 6.00-6.30pm, followed by the other 3 classes from 6.30-7.00pm. Other Grades will be divided in a similar manner.

Parents will need to sign in using the QR Code. There will be a number of Codes at the door and around the hall.

Unfortunately, there will not be a chance for parents to talk to teachers after the meeting.

Further details will be sent home next week, after I have met with the staff at the weekly Staff Meeting on Friday. SCHOOL DEPARTURE and ARRIVALS - The traffic build-up is happening again! It was difficult as day 1 was a rainy day. Please note the following:-

Classes begin at 9.10am. Students line-up at 9.05am. Please be on time.

Parents using Kiss & Drop in the morning should begin to use the Zone at 8.40am, not 9.00am.

Parking at Rofe Park, or in nearby streets (not across driveways) and walking to the school gate will make a huge difference to the traffic build-up.

There are changes to the afternoon pick-up:-

Parents, please remember that when it rains, your children will not melt or shrink!

SCIENCE NEWS - K-2 SCIENCE NEWS To kickstart the year off, K-2 Science Topic’s are all about ‘Energy and Movement.’ So I thought a fun way to start would be an inspirational activity that involves designing a car to help our planet. Your involvement is completely optional. The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a chance for tomorrow’s engineers, designers and creative thinkers to let their imaginations run wild by drawing an image of their ‘Dream Car.’ The Year 1 & 2 lesson this week will be based around this activity. A note will be sent home informing you of how to enter the competition. You may just like to create the dream car as a family activity. If the information does not make it home to you, you can find out more details at the website - https://www.toyota.com.au/dreamcar. Please contact me if you have any questions - Mrs Fitzsimons, K-2 Science Teacher.
