Our HeritageMatthew Barrett, a Chef by trade, has worked in numerous fine dining Hotels and

Restaurants, from his initial training through to Michelin Star restaurants followed by years in the Events catering industry his experience has given him a wealth of knowledge in this field.

His passion for food and delivery saw him branch out on his own, culminating in a decision to set up his own business – and Barretts was born. Since then we have worked hard to

grow the business with passion and be dedicated to our clients ensuring that we earned a fantastic reputation, not only for our food, but also for our service.

We pride ourselves on a personal approach to all our events and we have been delighted to have worked with so many lovely people during this time.

These menus have been designed to let you create the perfect menu for your big day. They can be mixed and matched in anyway to suit

your needs, giving you the flexibility to design your own menu.

1) Changing the menus around might change the prices

so please contact us for a quote.

2) This is not everything that we do, if you have

something specific in mind we would be delighted to

tailor make a menu for you.

3) Diets and Allergies – where ever possible we will

provide a dish that replicates the main menu you

have selected, if we are not able to do that, we will

suggest a suitable alternative for you.

4) If you want to offer a choice menu to your guests, we

can do this for you but there is a supplement cost to

cover extra labour, staff and chefs.

All evening food served from stations can be out for a maximum of 2 hours to adhere to current food safety regulations, after this any foods left over will be disposed of by our chefs.

Our kitchen is not nut free but we can adapt dishes to create a nut

Our Environmental Promise

Tasting SessionsShould you wish to sample the food before your special day.

We can of course arrange a tasting session for you.

These are held at our tasting suites at our premises in Stockport

We offer 2 time slots on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 4.30pm and 6.30pm *Our kitchens are closed for tastings on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays

We can arrange Saturday tasting sessions, but these are subject to availability and are booked on a first come first served basis on available dates around our events and weddings, our priority is always to the Bride and Grooms on their big day so these dates can be limited.

We close our diary for tastings in the height of season from June to end of August and also in mid to late December. So please allow plenty of time to book in for your session.

There is a £100 fee for the tasting session (unless you are at a venue where we are the exclusive caterer). This is payable upon booking the session and is then refunded on confirmation of booking our services for the event.

• If the deposit has already paid then the tasting session is free of charge.

We can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. We need to know the number of guests you will be bringing when making the booking – this is because we have 3 different sized rooms and we want to make you as comfortable as possible.

The session takes approximately 1.5 hours during which one of our Management team will be with you to discuss the dishes and also to run through the whole day with you and answer any questions you may have. We ask you to select 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts for the session and we will provide 1 of each of these dishes to share.

• If just the Bride and Groom this is a full 3 course meal as we provide full dishes for you, if more guests are attending these 2 dishes for each course are to be shared between you.

Following the session, we will send you a full proposal for the day along with our Terms and Conditions.

To confirm the date with us we then require the deposit of £1000 (£900 if the tasting payment has been made ) and a signed copy of our Terms and Conditions.

• If booked at venue where we are the exclusive caterer the booking is already secure for you but the deposit and Terms and Conditions are still required.

The date is then secured in our diary for you and we look forward to working with you to create your special day.

We appreciate that some of your guests may have special dietary

needs We suggest that you select your main menu and

then we can alter the dishes or ingredients to suit the

guest’s requirements, so that they can have as near to

the same menu as we can.

Where ever we can our chefs will replicate the menu for

you or replace the items needed.

Our Meat is raised on farms where the animals are free to roam

Our fish is sustainably caught or ethically farmed

Our Fruit and Vegetables are locally purchased when in season or sourced as ethically as possible

Our Bread is made locally but two local bakers

Recycling is very important to us and this is why all of our stationary is printed using recycled paper. We also recycle

all of our cardboard and paper products and are committed to recycling 100% of our glass and food waste.

There are dishes in these menus to suit each season and they can be mixed and matched to create the perfect

menu for your event - however if there is something special that you would like we would be happy to tailor-make

you a menu to suit.

Here at Barretts we endeavour to protect the environment and promote local businesses and suppliers. Sourcing our produce locally

where ever possible also helps to lower our carbon footprint.

Catering Equipment H ire Notes

For all events taking place in a private marquee where no catering equipment is provided,

we will require the following:

• Catering area attached to the main marquee to include solid floor and lighting

• Power supply suitable for the equipment required

• Water Supply – a simple hosepipe from house or garden is adequate

• Trestle Tables – supplied by marquee company

• Bar frontage – supplied by marquee company

• Power and lighting behind bar area

• Rear access and parking for a refrigerated vehicle

• Access to rear for loading and unloading

• Chef toilet facilities

• Hand wash in catering area

• Set up team charge

Should your event be taking place in a marquee or venue which requires a satellite kitchen, the following

equipment hire charges will apply:

Heated Cupboards

Water Boilers

Delivery and collection fees to be confirmed according to venue area

Some venues and marquees require a skip to be hired for waste.

If this is applicable the hire fee is applicable.
