UTVÆRET LÅNAN– ACTIVITY . EIDER DUCK NESTING COLONY –

Lånan is the largest producer of eiderdown in the Vega ar-chipelago. They preserve the old eiderdown tradition, which is the reason the islands of Vega was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2004.

During the summer, they welcome visitors to the eider keepers, to experience the beauty and tranquility of Lånan. Visits include: guided tour, historical exhibition, food and drinks.

Tailor made visits also available upon request with the pos-sibility to experience the life of a birdkeeper. Please contact for an offer.

Capacity: Groups & individuals

Scheduled trips 2018: July: 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th & 31st. August: 3rd.

Prices for scheduled trips: NOK 950,- for adults, NOK 450,- for children from 5 years. 4 hour trip. Boat leaves from Nes at Vega at 2:30pm.

Important information: All visits to Lånan must be booked in advance. Lånan is reached by boat from the main island of Vega.
