1970The 70s – a time when people wanted to change the world: what with oil shortagesand increasing smog, everyone felt that something had to change. In California, abunch of daring young bike fanatics began shooting down the gravel tracks ofMount Tamalpais on their pimped out cruisers. A new feeling of rebellious freedomcreated a strong bond – mountain biking was born!Way back then, UNIVEGA co-founder Ben Lawee had his finger on the pulse. He made UNIVEGA the first company to produce off-the-shelf mountain bikes, thus giving bikers everywhere the chance to get out there, burn energy and do their own thing.

PRESSFIT 30 BOTTOM BRACKET:

A new version of BB30 technology where

bearing shells - as opposed to individual

bearings - are pressed directly into the

frame. This makes it easier to install the

bearings and increases durability, while

still allowing the use of BB30 cranks.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING:

The UNIVEGA top-of-the-range models

with ICR technology hide the cables

discreetly by running them inside the

frame. This not only reduces cable

wear, it lends the bike a cleaner,

streamlined look.

The UNIVEGA Pro Cycling Team (UPCT) have been proving their skills in some of the toughest cross-

country, marathon, 24-hour, cyclocross and stage races in Europe since 2006. Week after week, our

riders give their utmost - for their team, for victory - and for you. Because the countless kilometres

and huge experience clocked up by the UNIVEGA team riders are channelled directly into the devel-

opment of our bikes, ensuring that we are always on the cutting edge. 100% performance and

100% reliability is the aim with every UNIVEGA bike. In the 2012 season, the team were on top form,

bringing home 41 wins, 26 second-place and 17 third-place finishes. In 2013, the record so far is
