#4) Monitoring Hashtags Whats a hashtag? Any word or topic beginning with the # sign. It becomes a hyperlink that you can click on to find all the tweets using the same hashtag. People use hashtags organize conversations around a specific topic.They are also great filters when you want to focus on a specific issue or topic and cut out the other tweets.
