Alphabetization (Agriculture – Zoology)

Measurement Units - the volume is set for readers who prefer the U.S. Customary system or the International System of Units (SI), most measurements in the Encyclopedia are given in dual units. The measurement system and its conversion tables are located in the Appendix.

Contributors – the author of each article is specified and its conclusion in the form of the contributor’s full name and affiliation may be found in the “Contributor” section at the front of the volume.

Bibliographies and Data Bases - Titles are grouped by subject area. Data bases listed provides the names of the data bases, a description of its contents, and the names of the producer and distributor.

Appendix – the appendix includes measurement tables, mathematical notation, electronic symbols, a detailed periodic table, abbreviations, taxonomic classification, and a biographical listing of scientists.

Index – the index offers over 30,000 entry index offers the reader the time saving convenience of being able to quickly turn to the index rather than encyclopedia via article titles only.
