ST. JOSEPH MISSION STATEMENT
Since 1886 the rural Roman Catholic Community of St.
Joseph Parish in Hayward, WI has gathered to acknowledge
God’s many blessings here in the northwoods. We
challenge ourselves to live out our baptismal call by
embracing the gospel values: faith in the family,
commitment to community, and reverence for all human
life. We dedicate ourselves to the spiritual, educational and
social needs of the people. Always striving to do better, we
strengthen our Catholic faith by embracing our traditions,
celebrating his love in public worship, and sharing that love
with others in our daily living. Bulletin @parishesonline.com

Fr. Gerard
Dear parishioners, visitors, guests and benefactors— There have been many opportunities in the past two weeks for involvement and spiritual growth. So many of you have responded so beautifully with your presence and input. Thank you for your involvement and support. Many people have requested that I repeat my Healing the Family Tree class (Session I). (Session II will take place on Thursday, January 4.) Because many were not able to attend my class because of prior commitments, I would like to offer Healing the Family Tree (Session I) again on Tuesday, Decem-ber 19 at 1:30 pm and again at 6:00 pm in the Parish Center. All are welcome to attend. I will be covering the same material as I did on Thursday, November 30. We are in the middle of the Advent season. Many Catholics find it helpful in preparing for Christmas by going to the sacra-ment of confession during Advent. Please take a parish letter or take a bulletin for all of the confession times. There are confessions listed with Fr. Dean with whom you may feel more comfortable. I wrote an Advent letter that covers a lot of topics. Please feel free to pick one up for your future reference guide. Next Sunday, December 17, after the 10:15 mass, there will be a brief Christmas program put on by our children. Many people who no longer have children enjoy such programs. Please plan to attend. Immediately after the program all are invited to help decorate the church for Christmas. Your help will be greatly appreciated. I pray that your Advent is enriching your lives. May God Bless you always. As ever -
Fr. Gerard Willger St. Joseph & St. Ann Parish

Baby sleeps at regular intervals throughout the day.

Coming Events
Today—Right after mass, there will be a rehearsal for the singers involved in the Christmas Eve mass. The CARE Christmas tree is back! Show the poor that you care and fill up the mitten. All money will go to help needy people in our area to survive the cold winter. Please make checks payable to St. Ann’s because the bank refuses to deposit anything that is not written to us. Thank you for your generosity and cooperation!
Our local food shelf needs your help! The holiday is upon us and their shelves are almost bare. The jobs at this time of year are scarce, especially in the absence of snow. Everyone deserves a decent meal for Christmas, so please if you are able, help the food shelf feed the families that come to them for help. They are especially in need of soups, tomato produces and meals in boxes and cans this month. The pantry will be open on December 21. Thank you again for your generosity. We would like to welcome new parishioners into our parish family! They are Dave and Angie Mickelson. Thank you so much for choosing St. Ann’s to be a part of your life! We are looking forward to praying and visiting with you. Please remember in prayer: Susie Reynolds, Nikki Sullivan, Jim Bartz, Jane Benson, Deb Krauss, George Hlavac, Isaac Carlson, Melita Paulik, Tim Schwartz, Pete Leahy, Santino Gray, Melanie Szymkowiak, baby Emmett, Carol Lepley, David Walters, Ginie Hlavac, Kyle Mollin, Nila Biddle, Patti Joswick
