Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry in Cape Girardeau, Missouri is breaking ground for its new Food Pantry on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will take place on the site of the new pantry, the green space directly behind the present Food Pantry building at Sprigg & William Streets. Very Reverend Edward Rice, Bishop of the Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese, will bless the site during the ceremony. All are invited to come! In operation since 2006, the Catholic Social Minis-tries Food Pantry Is one of the largest Food Pantries in Southeast Missouri. It is an outreach ministry of St. Mary Cathedral and Old St. Vincent Church in Cape Girardeau. The Pantry serves residents of Cape Girardeau County including 640 families; a total of 1,800 individuals every month. It is staffed by 40-60 volunteers who work both behind the scenes and in distribution to the clients every Tuesday and Saturday except the last full week of the month. Food is obtained from Southeast Missouri Food Bank in Sikeston, three local grocery stores, food drives and many private donations. 430,000 pounds of food was distributed last year.

Feed Our Shepherd Program St. Augustine and St. Joseph parishioners: we have a Feed our Shepherd program for Fr. Michael. We will provide a meal every Tuesday night delivered to the rectory between 5:30-6 PM. To sign up visit www.mealtrain.com/vev4wy and pick a date. Father does have a few requests. He prefers it to be in disposable containers, no sweets, no lima beans and portion control is a must. So lets show him our love and appreciation and fill up every Tuesday! Adoration at St. Augustine Adoration at St. Augustine Church is held on Thursdays following the 7 AM Mass and continues until the Blessed Sacrament is reposed prior to the 8 AM Mass on Friday morning. There is no Bene-

St. Joseph Dinner Auction Howdy partners-Welcome to the "Wild Wild West!" It's that time of year to rustle up some donations and make your plans to attend the 31st annual St. Joseph Dinner auc-tion. It's sure to be a hootin' and hollerin' good time. Sat-urday, October 2nd. Doors open at 5:00. Tickets go on sale August 28th. Special Collection for Haiti The United States Council Of Catholic Bishops has re-quested an emergency collection for the people of Haiti. There is still time to get your donation turned in. The funds will be used by Catholic Relief Services who are on the ground providing humanitarian relief and will be in the community over its extended recovery. Thank you in ad-vance for your support!
