Students were excited to return to school this week and see their friends and teachers.

Grade 3 hosted our school Mass on Friday and did a wonderful job, many thanks to their teachers Mrs. Donovan, Ms. Rice and Mr.MacLelland for

their assistance. Our spirit committee hosted a Family Bingo night

on Friday which is always a fun night. Congratulations to our boys and girls basketball

teams, their season is off to a great start!

Academy. As part of our program, the children are then escorted to Saint Brigid Church to attend

We will be having a coat drive this weekend only. The coat drive will benefit the Mullen

Women’s Shelter and the Southampton Emergency Shelter, which was opened after the

Long Island Bridge closed. Both of these shelters are located in the South End. Last year the parishioners of St. Brigid Church, Gate of

Heaven Church and St. Augustine Chapel were extremely generous, and we hope that

you can once again be of great help. Collections boxes will be located at the doors of

This past year we had 7 people fully enter into the Church from our RCIA and adult catechetical

program. The arrival of new members into our community is a testament to the unceasing action of the God drawing each and every person to Himself. We believe that God loves every person and that He wants all to know and live in the fullness of His love

in Jesus Christ.

This autumn our parish will begin to prepare those individuals who are interested in becoming Catholic
