Project I Powertrain Software Development

Client: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, USA (FCA US)

Description: This project is an extension of Powertrain Software Development and is executed in phases. The different phases are,

Requirement Review – In this phase the requirements which are updated in Matlab Simulink Models are reviewed and verified from the Requirement Change Notice (RCN), raised for a particular feature in that phase.

Design Update and Review – Updating SIMULINK model requirements to DSpace Targetlink environment and generating the autocode in Targetlink v3.0.1 and v3.3 or review the design if Chrysler engineer has updated or auto coded the requirements.

Code Update and Review – Update the code in accordance with the requirements or review the code if Chrysler engineer has coded the requirements.

Unit Test Case Preparation – Preparing the unit test cases and functional test cases in accordance with the code and the requirements.

Unit Test Case Review – Reviewing the test plan if developed by Chrysler engineer.

Testing for auto coded models – Unit testing is performed for models which are auto coded through MIL and SIL testing to validate the behaviour of the Requirement with respect to the code. This is

performed using REACTIS and TARGETLINK.

Contribution: As a Sr. Software Engineer, responsible for the following:

Working on Matlab (Simulink and Stateflow Model Based Development) for ECM applications for Chrysler and FIAT Engines.

Working on following stages of SLDC: Requirement review, Design Update/Review, Code update/review, Unit Test case design/review.

Auto Coding using DSpace Targetlink 3.0.1/3.3 Preparation of Test Cases based on the Requirements and code. Software in Loop Testing using S-functions. Effective communication with client to ensure the audit

readiness of change records related to releases.

Responsible to implement part or all of the technical solution in accordance with an agreed technical design.

To establish data quality process. Manage the definition, communication and resolution of issues
