RELATED TO HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Diving school: Is a school where you learn to dive through theoretical and practical courses, in addition to other activities such as paddle surfing, kayak, boat trips, sailing...

Advantages: Is a sport that has a lot of demand for tourism, where you always know new things and it is very well paid.

Disadvantages: Is a business that only can open in summer and always depends on the time to practice it.

INNOVATION

Cupcakes: Is very similar to a bakery but the difference is that each product is decorated by hand made and it is dedicated exclusively to cupcakes.

Advantages: It is a business different and exclusive, besides hand work is expensive.

Disadvantages: People don't known it, besides these products are very fattening.

Advantages: Due to the variety of services the benefits would be greater.

Disadvantages: It is a quite common type of business, which means that there would be much competition.

Spa: Is a place that offers health treatments, therapies and various relaxation methods to improve the welfare of people using it as their primary source of water.

Advantages: It is a type of business which usually brings about many benefits and attracts a lot of tourism.

Disadvantages: It costs a lot and needs a lot of money to start the business.

RELATED TO UNMET NEEDS

Campus for diabetic people: Is an establishment where diabetic people are taught about everything you need to cope with their disease, the complications that may arise...

Advantages: Not much competition because it is an unusual business and helps to improve the quality of life of people with this disease.

Disadvantages: You have to get good professionals and some suitable installations to carry out the campus, and all that can carry a very high cost.

Marriage counselor: Is a business dedicated to try solve problems inside a marriage and give tips to be able to improve coexistence.

Advantages: Helped many couples to improve and strengthen their relationship or marriage.

Disadvantages: It has a high cost as we need a lot of professionals.

Rent a car: Provides automotive short or long periods of time for those who are outside and need transportation.

Advantages: There is a lot of tourism and it is much more convenient than to rent a car to take the bus.

Disadvantages: It's a business with lots of competition and quality.

Luxury car dealership: Sale of a variety of cars trying to offer customers the best sales and the best advice to clients on the car they want.

Advantages: We can has very high profits when you consider the quality of the cars.

Disadvantages: Because of the crisis that we are suffering, only a small part of the population can afford this luxury.

Second hand shop: We Offer any second hand product that is in good condition at an affordable price and maybe antique products.

Advantages: Prices are affordable for everyone, in addition to the ease to find products.

Disadvantages: There are very few people who buy second-hand goods as they are usually old and reused and are now outdated.

Prenatal shop: Is a shop specialized in pregnancy, babies and children.

Advantage: The price is quite high and it is an important needs.

Disadvantage: Due to Spain's crisis the birth rate has been reduced.

Culinary school: Is a private non-profit organization dedicated to training the best culinary professionals.

Advantage: Due to the crisis maybe young people inspire to study.

Disadvantage: It requires a big investment, contract professional employees, which also requires a high salary.

Self-service laundry: Is a commercial establishment where clothes can be washed and dried using coin-operated machines.

Advantage: It is relatively new concept and already have extensive market gap to be covered. You don't need employees to make them work because everything is automatic.

Disadvantage: There is insufficient clients in the area.

RELATED TO A JOB EXPERIENCE

Sushi restaurant: Sushi is a Japanese food consisting of cooked vinegared rice combined with other ingredients usually raw fish, vegetables or seafood.

Advantage: Limited competition, recently sushi has become famous dish in Spain so it is probably can have high benefits.

Disadvantage: Sushi seems exotic meal.

Mini market Asian product: Is a commercial local specialized in Asian products.

Advantage: The population becomes more open to the Asian market since there are more foreigners.

Disadvantage: Insufficient customers in this region.

RELATED TO EXISTENCE IMPROVE

Wine store: Is a business local specialized in wine sales.

Advantage: It is unique in the place. The tourist will have a place where can enjoy Spanish wines.

Disadvantage: The investment is very high.

RELATED TO ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT

Mini market organic products: Organic Products Without Intermediaries is an organic food and all kinds of healthy and beneficial for our food and nutrition.

Advantage: Organic foods are healthy because they no contain artificial substances they are properly assimilated by the body without affecting the metabolic functions.

Disadvantage: The lack of information and familiarity on the part of consumers an organic products.

COMPARATIVE TABLE

BUSINESS PURPOSE

Definition: After doing a comparison we decided to create a business of cupcakes. We think it is the best choice for its points obtained, besides it is very interesting idea, and there aren't many such business in the zone chosen.Currently is a business that is very fashionable, which attracts the attention for its originality in the work by hand made and the wide variety of products.

The needs that it satisfy: Elaborate quality cakes that fit the needs and desires of the client in general, always providing the best prices and personalized attention.

The innovations that provides: We will strive to be recognized as one of the best pastry cupcakes in the city for its quality, attention and good service.To become the best pastry we will do it through promotions and specials to attract future clients with good publicity.We can offer our customers the opportunity to come to our shop to try our products, they have the possibility of taking the best drink to accompany a cupcake.

Situation that justifies this gap in the market: We decided to put our business in the resort of Cala d'Or, because:It is a town where there is a lot of tourism, in addition to all its inhabitants.

It is an area where there are many hotels that might need our services, as there isn't other business like ours in the area.

DISTRIBUTION OF WORK

Among the three we did a brainstorming, each one providing ideas that came to our minds. After gathering up to 21 ideas, we distributed seven for each one in order to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.

Glria's ideas: Diving School, Cupcakes, Active listening, School of dogs, karaoke, Recycled Shop and Private Clinic with all services.

Maria Francisca's ideas: Bakery Cafe, Spa, Campus for diabetic people, Marriage counselor, Rent a car, Luxury car dealership and Shop second hand.

Jeremie's ideas: Self-Service laundry, Sushi restaurant, Mini market Asian products, Wine store, Culinary school, Prenatal shop and Mini market organic products.

When we had advantages and disadvantages, we put our work together and retouch it a little among us.

The three together made the matrix for decision-making and we wrote the objective of the company and the distribution of work.

NAMES SELECTION

We have done brainstorming of names:

GloJeMa cupcakes: is the combination of our names.

All you need is cupcakes: we have chosen this sentence because we like it and it is original.

3 Delicious cupcakes: we have chosen this name because we like it, number 3 refers to the three of us in the group and delicious conveys a sense of sweetness.

Three cupcakes: is the number of the group members.

Caprici cupcakes: because the majority of people give themselves sweet caprices.

Temptation cupcakes: because the cupcakes are very tempting.

Sweet cupcakes: the cupcakes are very sweet.

Delicious cupcakes: the cupcakes are delicious.

Golden cupcakes: the word gold it define a high degree of excellence.

GJF cupcakes: the letters represents our names with simplicity and elegance.

Angel cupcakes: Angel represents kindness and behavior. It's a common name and easy to remember for the clients.

LOGOS SELECTION

THE CHOSEN NAME AND LOGO ARE:

We have chosen this logo because it is what we liked.

The name refers to the number the members of group and delicious because the cupcakes are really delicious.

We think that the design is the most suitable, the cupcakes have warm colors.

Besides we put Cala d'Or because the store will be installed there.

DISTRIBUTION OF WORK

This phase consisted in: searching logos individually, contrasting the logos obtained and redacting the sentence all together.

Glria Cerd has done the logos: GloJeMa Cupcakes, All you need is Cupcakes, Three Cupcakes and 3 Delicious Cupcakes.

Maria Francisca Cap has done the logos: Temptation Cupcakes, Caprici Cupcakes and Sweet cupcakes.

Jeremie Bongot Agbigay has done the logos: Delicious Cupcakes, Golden Cupcakes, GJF Cupcakes and Angels Cupcakes.

Finally, when we had our logos we discussed each logo and we shared our opinions in order to select an appropriate logo for our business.

We had also made our individual evaluation in which we have rated ourselves according to our behavior during these days.

SELECTION OF LOCATION:

In the first place, we decided to choose the location in Cala d'Or, because it is the most tourist village, and thanks to hotels and tourists we can have many opportunities like: serving our products to hotels and completing training courses, especially during the summer months.

In addition it has a great number of residents during the whole year.

We have chosen this location for the following reasons:

It is situated in the center.

It is a very privileged, (easy to see) because it is located at the entrance of the town, specifically at the roundabout.

It has easy access to parking.

THE LOCATION SELECTED IS AS FOLLOWS:

We have chosen this place, as we have said before, because of its location, in addition to its features:

DISTRIBUTION OF WORK

In this section we distributed the tasks as follows:

Maria Francisca has been responsible to take a walk in Cala d'Or searching different places where to locate our business, since we had the bad luck of not finding it any on the internet.

After having found the various places, all three together we selected the one that we believe the most appropriate and we went to visit it.

After visiting the place, we did a little reasoning why we decided to put the business in Cala d'Or, and chose it.

Jeremie has selected the most suitable photographs and also made the map location.

Glria has made the general planning, after discussing how we wanted to distribute.
