EASTER RAFFLE
From the Principal
Easter raffle tickets are on
sale every morning in
both playgrounds before
school.
Raffles will be drawn at
the Easter hat assembly
on Thursday.
Also please remember all
students will need an
Easter hat for the parade
on Thursday 24th March
2016.
Remember, it is not a
mufti day. Students
wear their school
uniform.
Classes will resume as
normal after the picnic
lunch on the oval
Thank you to all our
wonderful families
that have donated our
raffle prizes.
Some of our Year 2, 3 & 4 boys have been spending some time with Mr Fennessy working on some hands on activities to keep them busy at lunchtime. The boys enjoy the opportunity to be included in this group and are working hard in their classroom’s in order to be able to participate. They are learning some practical skills as well as cooperating with others. Well done, boys!
Hopefully the Easter break brings all sorts of pleasures for our families. If you are
travelling away please make it a safe journey, if staying - have a restful break. The
excitement is building at MSPS as we get close to our annual Easter Hat Parade. It
does make me wonder who started this tradition across NSW Schools so many
years ago. Every school seems to continue the tradition along with the Easter egg
raffle. I know from last year Morgie students love it too. Hope to see parents here
for the parade and assembly on Thursday at 11.30am
Our Annual School Reporting period has come again and as such I ask that
parents and community members please take a look at and complete a Community
Satisfaction Survey which can be found at:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FR6XG6S
(Cut and Paste into browser or type it directly in)
As it is the first electronic survey I have attempted to build I hope it all works - it
seemed to for me. The survey will remain open until 5 pm on April 1 so there is
plenty of time to complete it. There will be paper copies of the survey available at
our offices for those who wish to complete one that way. The electronic ones I
hope will suit many families and we look forward to hearing your thoughts.
KIDSMATTERS - the Australian Primary School Mental Health Initiative will be
launched this afternoon as a training to assist children and families who may have
need for support from time to time. The first module “Positive School Community”
will be delivered to staff by an in school team who have been preparing the
presentation for staff.

We have been seeing some great examples of fair
play and cooperation in our playgrounds so far
this year. Year 6 Playground Monitors are helping
our younger students at lunchtime by organising
fun activities for them to be involved in.
Keep up the good work Year 6.
There is a bit of a concern about a number of playground
incidents being recorded under the area of “Playing safely and
sensibly - hands and feet to self”. Teachers will be reminding
students of appropriate games to play and how to
deal with conflict in game situations. Please talk
with your child about how they are playing in our
playgrounds. Are they being safe and sensible and
respecting others?

We are getting very excited for
Easter. We have been able to create
some wonderful artworks and are
very excited for the Easter Hat
Parade coming up this Thursday.
Here we are colouring in for the
school art competition.
2E Class
News We have had a fabulous start to the
school year here in 2E! On
Wednesday’s we get to participate
in Born To Move sessions as part of
our PE program-we love it! We have
lots of fun moving to the music and
being so active. We have even been
taught some special yoga poses and
relaxation techniques.
We have been reading the story
‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ in class and have
been doing some really fun and
creative writing activities based
around the book. In art lessons, we
created our own Mr Fox puppets.
