Leadership = Influence

Leadership - is deliberately causing people-driven

actions in a planned fashion for the purpose of

accomplishing the leader’s agenda.

People will follow a leader when

they see you are dedicated to the mission.

“Now, Grog! Throw!…Throoooooow!…Throw throwthrow throw throw throw!…”

People will follow a leader when

they are convinced you know where the group

needs to go.

“And so I’ve reached the conclusion, gentlemen, thatthe Wonker Wiener Company is riddled

with incompetence.”

People will follow a leader when

they know where that is.

“Wait! Wait!…Cancel that. I guess it says ‘helf.’ ”

People will follow a leader when

they believe you can deal with problems along the

way.

“Now stay calm…Let’s hear what they said to Bill.”

People will follow a leader when

they trust you.

“Well of COURSE I did it in cold blood, you idiot!I’m a reptile!”

People will follow a leader when

they believe you want what’s best for them.
