La Marina alberga 70 embarca-ciones con servicio completo deenergía, 10 con 120 volts conservicio de 30 amperes y 15 sinservicio eléctrico. Cuenta con 70boyas estilo mediterráneas, servi-cio de diesel en el muelle, contac-tos de 110 volts en cada embar-cadero y a un lado sombrillas, si-llas, mesas, congeladores y servi-cios completos (agua, hielo,bebidas, teléfono, fax y basura).Cuenta con la debida señali-zación en el canal de acceso, laatención a través de los canalesVHF 79 A y/o 16 para facilitar suarribo y con servicios para poderfacilitar su ingreso al país, sinembargo es recomendable reali-zar los trámites de ingreso con lasautoridades en el Puerto de IslaMujeres cuando se proviene delnorte, ya que Puerto Aventurasdepende de Cozumel y el trámitepuede resultar más costoso.

El plan general del frac-cionamiento, incluye campo degolf con 9 hoyos, 7 hoteles, 1200condominios con operación tipohotel y 700 villas unifamiliares enuna extensión de 600 acres.

El equipo de desarrolladorescombinó magistralmente los con-ceptos de áreas residenciales debaja densidad, rodeándolas deáreas verdes brindando privaci-dad, situándolas estratégicamen-te en el corazón del desarrollodonde ocurren la mayoría de lasactividades comerciales y recrea-tivas. So, you canplan your next trip to visit theRiviera Maya by water and evenbring your own yacht. At theRivera Maya you will be able toexplore many avenues of adven-ture that are linked to sailing,since there is an infinite variety ofaquatic activities and beautifulplaces to sightsee.

There are two Marinas at yourservice in the Riviera Maya:Marina Puerto Aventuras andMarina El Cid.

PUERTO AVENTURAS

Puerto Aventuras Marina offers acomplete menu of servicesbetween Cancun and Belize. Itcan accommodate boats that

range from 10 feet to 150 feet inlength and it has it's own ferry toCozumel as well. The marina’sentrance channel depth isapproximately 8.5 to 9 feet.

The Marina accommodates up to70 boats with complete electricalservice, 10 boats with 120volt/30 amperes service and 15boats without electrical service. Ithas 70 Mediterranean stylebuoys, diesel fuel service on thewharf and 110 volt electric out-lets on each pier. It has umbre-llas, tables, freezers and com-plete services (water, ice, drinks,telephone, fax and trash) on oneside. It is equipped with with theproper signage for the accesschannel and for access to radiochannels VHF 79 A and/or 16.This, along with all the properauthorities for documentationand immigration, makes yourarrival into our Country easier.However, we recommend thatyou do the proper paperworkwith the authorities at the port inIsla Mujeres when traveling fromthe north, since Puerto Aventurasdepends on Cozumel and there-fore the paperwork might bemore expensive.

The Master Plan of the PuertoAventuras development includesa 9-hole golf course, 7 hotels,1200 condominiums with hotelstyle accommodations and 700villas in an area of 600 acres.

Las reglas de construcción fueronimplementadas para proteger ypreservar su arquitectura y estilomexicano-caribeño, la calidad delos materiales, colores visibles yrestricciones de altura. Este es unsueño para preservar y comple-mentar la belleza naturaldel lugar.

La Marina Puerto Aventuras selocaliza en la línea costeracaribeña del estado mexicano deQuintana Roo aproximadamentea 620 km. Key West Florida en lassiguientes coordenadas: Latitud20° 29´ 44” N. longitud 87° 13´34” W.

Cuentan con los servicios demigración para su conveniencia.

EL CID

La marina El Cid acomoda 150embarcaciones desde 25 hasta120 pies de eslora, los muellesson de concreto, que suben ybajan con la marea, esto los hacemuy estables y proveen muchaseguridad a las embarcaciones.

Los servicios de la Marinaincluyen cajas para guardar uten-silios en el muelle, agua potable,electricidad de 30, 50, y 100amperes, TV por cable, seguridadlas 24 hrs. del día, además de sis-tema contra incendios.

Cuentan con un muelle paraproveer diesel y gasolina, asícomo para descargar el tanquede sólidos de las embarcaciones.Cuenta también con una oficinapara expedir despachos de nave-gación de cabotaje, así comoequipo de comunicación VHF,rastreando el canal 16.

La marea es muy estable, oscilaentre las 20", y la profundidad enla entrada de la Marina es de 9-12 pies (3 - 4.5 m)

EL CID

El Cid Marina has dockage for150 boats from 25 to 120 ft inlength, with piers made out ofconcrete that move up and downaccording to the tide. This pro-vides stability and excellent secu-rity for the boats.

The marina services include uten-sil boxes on the pier, along withwater, electricity of a choice of30, 50 and 100 amperes, cableTV, 24 hour security, all in addi-tion to a fire alarm system.

The piers provide gas and dieselfuel, and can be used as well tounload the solids tanks from theboats.

There also is a navigation office incharge of issuing the requiredpaperwork, as well as VHF com-munications equipment, withtracking channel 16.

The tide is stable, ranging from20 inches in depth at theentrance of the marina to about9-12 feet (3-4.5meters).

National Park Xel-Ha and theBiosphere Reserve of Sian Ka’anare also located in the area pro-viding more ecological adventure alternatives.

The archeological ruins of Tulumare the most popular attraction inthe area. Tulum was the onlyMayan city built on the coast andwas an historic center for Mayancommerce. This town was nevercaptured by the Spaniards andhas remained as one of the lastMayan centers.

The first PGA championship tookplace in 1916 at the SiwanoyCountry Club in Bronxville,New York. Rodman Wanamakerdonated the prize for thistournament, which is why itreceived its name as the Wana-meker Trophy.

The Professional Golfers’ Associa-tion (PGA) is the largest sportsassociation with over 28000 mem-bers. Nowadays this associationhas a representative objective forprofessional golf players and pro-fessors, since everything related toelite golfers in the United Statesand Canada, is run by the PGATour, an organism estranged fromthe PGA of America in 1968.

The four most important tourna-ments in the world are the PGATour, the Augusta Masters, the USOpen and the British Open. The projection the Riviera Maya’s touristpromotion Council on receiving during the

year 2006 2.6 million visitors is withoutdoubt a reachable goal for this desti-nation, which.

From January to September of thisyear, 2 million 34 thousand peasantshave decided towards this destina-tion which is why if no unexpected

events take place the projected goalwill be reached and even surpassed.

Since among this numbers there is still tocount the third trimester of the year, whichwill add up to al least an average of 200thousand visitors per month.

Even though the year 2005 is no referencefor statistic purposes the presence due to thehurricanes that occurred on July and October,we can say that up to September of the pres-ent year the number of visitors exceeds by12.32% the number of visitors on that sameperiod on 2005 and by 10.66% on 2004.

THE NIGHT-ROOMS OCCUPANCYINCREASED TO OVER A MILLION

On the other hand, in terms of room nightoccupancy, it increased to over one million. In2004, adding up to the third trimester, theRiviera Maya had 22,642 rooms, which repre-sented an availability of 6.1 million rooms-night, from which 5.3 millions were occu-pied, it is to say 87.66 per cent.

Nowadays the Riviera Maya has 29,755 oper-ating rooms, and until September of 20067.8 million rooms-night were available, fromwhich 6.04 million where occupied, this isone million more that in the same period oflast year.

THE RIVIERA MAYA HAS BEEN PROMOTEDIN OVER 30 CITIES IN THE WORLD

The intense publicity and promotion given tothe destination has contributed to positionthe Riviera Maya as one of the favorite placesamong visitors. This year the Council promot-ed the attractions of the Mexican Caribbeanthrough fairs and events, to the UnitedStates, Canada, Europe and even Asia. A listof over 30 cities outline the universe of placesvisited to promote this part of the MexicanCaribbean.

Among the most important fairs and eventsin which the Riviera Maya has participated,we can highlight the 12th edition de Routesin Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the WorldTravel Market of London, The Tourism Fair ofPrague, The China International TravelMarket, The Caravan del Caribe Mexicano.and the combined sponsorship of the Councilfor Tourist Promotion of Mexico (CPTM) andthe Council for the promotion of the RivieraMaya, of the F360 Ferrari that competed onthe Ferrari Challenge in Italy.

La proyección del Fideicomiso para la promo-ción turística de la Riviera Maya de recibir en2006 a 2.6 millones de visitantes sinduda será una meta que este destinoalcanzará e incluso podría superar.

De enero a septiembre de este año, 2millones 034 mil paseantes se handecidido por este destino turísticopor lo que si no se presenta ningunaeventualidad se alcanzará e incluso serebasará la cifra proyectada de 2.6millones de visitantes, pues dentro de estanumeralia aún resta contabilizar el últimotrimestre del año, el cual sumará, por lo menos,un promedio de 200 mil paseantes por mes.

Aunque 2005 no es referencia para fines estadís-ticos por la presencia de los huracanes de julio yoctubre, no sobra decir que hasta septiembre deeste año, el número de turistas recibidos superóen 12. 32 por ciento a los de ese mismo periododel 2005, y en 10.66 por ciento a los de 2004.

AUMENTÓ EN MÁS DE UN MILLÓN LOSCUARTOS-NOCHE OCUPADOS

Por otra parte, en lo que hace a la ocupaciónde cuartos noche, ésta se incrementó en másde un millón. En 2004, considerando el acu-mulado hasta el tercer trimestre, la RivieraMaya tenía 22,642 cuartos, lo que represen-tó una disposición de 6.1 millones de cuar-tos-noche, de los cuales se ocuparon 5.3 mil-lones, es decir el 87.66 por ciento.

Actualmente la Riviera Maya tiene 29,755habitaciones en operación, y hasta septiem-bre de 2006 se disponían de 7.8 millones decuartos-noche, de los cuales estuvieron ocu-pados 6.04 millones, esto es, un millón másque en el mismo periodo del año pasado.

LA RIVIERA MAYA SE HA PROMOCIONADOEN MÁS DE 30 CIUDADES DEL MUNDO

La intensa promoción y publicidad que se hahecho del destino ha contribuido a posicionar ala Riviera Maya como uno de los lugares preferi-dos entre los paseantes. Este año el Fideicomisoacercó los atractivos del Caribe mexicano, através de ferias y eventos, a Estados Unidos,Canadá, Europa e incluso Asia. Una lista de másde 30 ciudades integran el universo de los sitiosque fueron visitados para promocionar estaparte del caribe mexicano.

Entre las ferias y eventos más importantes enlos que ha participado la Riviera Maya desta-can la 12ª edición de Routes, en Dubai,Emiratos Arabes Unidos; la World TravelMarket de Londres, la Feria de turismo dePraga, la China International Travel Market, laCaravana del Caribe mexicano, y el patrocinioconjunto entre el Consejo de PromociónTurística de México (CPTM) y el Fideicomisopara la promoción de la Riviera Maya delFerrari F360 que corrió en el torneo FerrariChallenge en Italia.
