Dreamed up in Dubai by long-standing University friends Bill Cooper and Dan Ronson, Icycl frozen vodka icepops were born just 12 months later. A truly delicious, naturally fruity, smooth flavoured alcoholic sorbet contained in a self-serve, suck-as-you-go pouch – Icycl is set to revolutionise the party scene all over the world.

Capable of being shipped and stored at ambient temperatures, needing only freezing prior to consumption, Icycl offers unlimited retail versatility. It can even change its state without altering its flavour. Frozen, thawed and refrozen – it still packs a punch! Available in six refreshing flavours, Icycl’s 6.4% vodka kick is, by its very nature, consumed slowly. It’s no-glass, no-spill, disposable pouch is a safe and enjoyable solution for distributing and consuming at any party venue, as well as minimising the risk of spiking.

Mixed with music, the ‘Icycl experience’ comes into its own – be it creating awesome memories or harnessing opportunities for the masses. FOUNDERS BILL COOPERBill has spent his career in management consultancy, culminating as an equity partner in two of the ‘Big Four’ consultancy firms. Today his time is focused on Icycl and managing a social enterprise focused on care for the elderly.

DAN RONSON Dan owned and managed an award winning hotel in the Brecon Beacons for 16 years before selling it to focus on property development. Today his time is devoted to Icycl and creating opportunities for young people from all walks of life.

COLLABORATIONEnlisting the help of a Centre of Excellence in Food Science & Development in Cardiff, Icycl recruited a food science graduate to put thousands of flavour combinations to the test, and refine the texture and ambient shelf life for the six natural fruit flavours that retail today.

Defining an iconic brand image was also critical for Icycl, and wanting to avoid the typical agency approach, a competition with the University of South Wales for undergraduates studying design was initiated. Over 100 students entered, and the brand image that Icycl sports today, is the creation of the 19 year-old competition winner.

Icycl regularly collaborates with up-and-coming cutting edge artists to inject creativity into nightlife, raise the bar of what to expect from a night out, and nurture the finest grassroots talent, icluding Cardiff’s very own Lucius Brave. Having built a reputation for his ability to bring something unique to venues and festivals throughout the UK and Europe, Lucius’s wildly kinetic and charmingly reckless DJ performances notorious for their sonic prowess and infectious energy. 6.4%
