Congratulations on your admission to UW Oshkosh for Fall 2020! Hang on to this document. This has key information and deadlines necessary for keeping you on track to being a registered Titan of UW Oshkosh! FALL 2020 CHECKLIST SUBMIT YOUR $100 DEPOSIT CHECK YOUR NEW TITAN EMAIL OFTEN APPLY FOR HOUSING AND DINING PLANS SUBMIT YOUR FAFSA AND APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS An email will be sent to the account listed on your application. Using the link provided in the email, submit your $100 tuition deposit* online. The deposit is a credit toward your fall tuition and is refundable with a written request postmarked no later than May 1, 2020. When we receive your $100 deposit, a Titan email account will be created for you. Login information for this account will be mailed to you within five business days. Please check your email often throughout the year. The $100 tuition deposit will also grant you access to the online housing portal to apply for housing and dining plans. Steps needed to access the housing portal will be included in the Titan email account mailing mentioned previously. Within the housing portal, you will submit a $150 housing prepayment, which, after a $25 administrative fee, will be used as a credit toward your spring 2021 housing charges. The $125 prepayment is refundable with written notification postmarked no later than June 15, 2020. New student room selection for Fall 2020 will take place in late June. Students are exempt if they have reached the age of 21 by the first day of class. If you live within the 45-mile commuter range and are commuting from your parent or legal guardian’s permanent home, you must request and complete a commuter card from the Department of Residence Life. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov as soon as possible after October 1, 2019 to be considered for financial aid. The UWO school code is 003920. The priority filing date at UWO is January 1, 2020. REQUEST ACCOMMODATIONSIf you are in need of accommodations, our Accessibility Services Coordinator will work with you to ensure access to programs and services at UW Oshkosh. It is important to submit accommodation requests at your earliest convenience. You can request accommodations online at admissions.uwosh.edu/accessibility-center-request.

COMPLETE YOUR PLACEMENT TESTSIn March, April or May, you must complete the English and Math placement tests, unless you have taken a transferable college-level course in that area (to check, visit wisconsin.edu/transfer). Optional foreign language placement tests are offered in French, Spanish and German. Testing should be completed at least two weeks prior to your Titan Takeoff day. Register online at testing.wisc.edu after Feb. 1, 2020.

JOIN THE CLASS OF 2024 ON FACEBOOKMeet your classmates or find your roommate! You can also stay up to date on campus events and ask questions about UW Oshkosh. Make sure to request to join the students-only group at fb.com/groups/uwo.2024.

VISIT UW OSHKOSHWhether you’ve toured campus already or not, come see us! We offer daily campus visits at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., along with some incredible Titan Preview dates in fall and spring. Saturday visits are also available on select dates. Learn more at uwosh.edu/go/visit.

APPLY FOR PARKINGIf you’re living in the residence halls, you will be sent a parking permit application from the Parking Services Office in early July 2020. The deadline to apply to request a parking permit is July 31, 2020. Students living on campus are not guaranteed parking permits, as they are granted through a lottery system. Commuter student parking is guaranteed.

UNDERSTAND HOW BILLING WORKS AT UW OSHKOSHYour statement of account (bill) is only available online in late summer through yourelectronic TitanWeb account. You will be notified via your Titan email when your billing statement is available. Your statement will include tuition, room/board and other fees. Please print/submit a copy with your payment.
