With a compact design and multiple engine options, the SandCat™ protected multi-role vehicle is swift, smart and safe – allowing special operations to quickly and efficiently get in and gain control of any situation. Integrated armor and a high-absorbing v-shaped belly deflector help minimize penetration and blast overpressure effects from mine explosions. They also provide floor protection against hand grenades and land mines. Protected Multi-Role Vehicle.

Conduct urban operations and security missions confidently with the Oshkosh Defense® SandCat™ protected multi-role vehicle. This high-speed, highly-protected, highly-maneuverable vehicle can be specifically designed for a wide variety of roles, including military, homeland defense, global war on terror, special operations, disaster aid and peace-keeping missions.

The SandCat vehicle, with use of a commercial chassis and kitted hull, allows for rapid and efficient manufacturing. Specifically designed to protect occupants against mine attacks, IEDs, standard ammunition threats and armor piercing (AP) bullets, the SandCat vehicle incorporates a Blast Management System for ultimate protection. The armor is integrated right into the vehicle’s design, so cabin size and structure are optimized and protection is maximized – all while maintaining a lower weight. Adaptations can be made based on relevant threat levels and enhanced on demand while optimizing the vehicle for weight, space, payload, cost and assembly.

The Oshkosh Defense® SandCat™ Special Operations Vehicle (SOV) offers extreme mobility and protection for missions in the most remote locations. Its compact design and V8 diesel engine allow it to move quickly, safely and quietly. It also allows for quick crew egress, maximum situational awareness and easy mounting of weapons.

Specifically designed to minimize penetration and blast overpressure effects from mine explosions, the SandCat SOV has advanced metal composite armor technology that protects the cab all round up to shoulder height and includes floor protection against hand grenades and land mines. It incorporates a high-absorbing v-shaped belly deflector, collapsible seat base and suspended seats for even greater protection. And because armor is integrated right into the vehicle’s design, it offers optimal protection at a lower weight.

TACTICAL PROTECTOR VEHICLE™

Versatility. Performance. Protection.Oshkosh Defense® SandCat™ Tactical Protector Vehicle™ (TPV). With extreme mobility, military-grade protection and capacity for up to nine officers, the SandCat™ Tactical Protector Vehicle™ from Oshkosh Defense enhances access, speed and safety in urban, rural and off-road, high-risk special operation situations.

The SandCat TPV is built to the military standards required for high-risk callouts such as terrorist threats, hostage situations, drug interdictions and gang activities. It is specifically designed to negotiate tight spaces like narrow alleys, debris covered streets and twisting trails. It incorporates a Blast Management System into the vehicle’s design which optimizes cabin structure and maximizes protection – all while maintaining a lower weight. Adaptations can be made based on the relevant threat levels and enhanced on demand.

To enable rapid deployment, the SandCat TPV can be configured with a rear step with grab handles, side running boards, hand rails, exterior lighting, FLIR, ladders, second-story entrance ramps and winches. Other options can be added to meet specific requirements.
