Vintage is fashion. Vintage is history. Vintage is design. Vintage is a time frame. Vintage allows you to dress as unique as you are. Vintage can be gently worn BUT it also can be in new condition with tags still attached.

AtomicKatz offers a great selection of vintage clothing for men and women of all ages. If you are looking for that “one of a kind” and “knock your socks off” dress or just an accent piece to highlight one of your treasures, AtomicKatz has it.

AtomicKatz opened their doors November 2003. AtomicKatz is co-owned by Debra Toman and Sandy Prunty who have years of experience buying and selling vintage. We are very excited to be located in Downtown Oshkosh. When we began our search for a location for our vintage store, we checked out many cities but Oshkosh had everything we were looking for. We are excited to be a destination that people from all over the country come to “play” with our treasures. And we absolutely beam when people from Chicago, Milwaukee, NYC and LA come to our store and say it is one of the best vintage stores they have ever been in.

For something to be vintage it has to be at least 30 years old, however, the majority of our clothing is from the 1920’s thru the 1960’s. We do have some fabulous 70’s and some “Joan Collins want-a-be” 80’s fashions. You will never see a clone of yourself on the street or in the next store when you wear vintage. Vintage clothing is always fashionable and “HOT”. Check out the new looks in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle or Bazaar or watch Sex in the City. Everything you see featured can be duplicated using vintage creatively. AtomicKatz also offers a very large selection of vintage accessories including hats, purses, jewelry, shoes, belts and sunglasses.

AtomicKatz offers one of the largest selections of wearable vintage clothing for Women and also offers the LARGEST selection of wearable vintage for Men in Wisconsin. Our clothing is carefully cleaned and repaired when necessary. It represents the best of its decade. One of the things we love best about vintage is the detailing of the garment. The designers have added small yet

vital touches that make that piece stand out. Current designers refer to vintage fashions for inspiration. AtomicKatz also carries designer vintage such as Ungaro, Calvin Klein, Scassi and others.

AtomicKatz too opened their doors November 2009 and offers wonderful pieces of Mid-Century Modern, Danish modern, retro kitsch furniture and home accessories. Some of the furniture designers we carry are: Herman Miller, Thaden Jorden, Charles Eames, George Nelson, Martz pottery and many others.

AtomicKatz is located at 17 Waugoo Ave and AtomicKatz too is located at 21 Waugoo Ave (next door) in the heart of exciting Downtown Oshkosh. Our store hours are Tue-Sat 11- 6 and special appointments may be made anytime for your personal shopping experience. Telephone 920-235-0023

Our customers are the most creative people around. They know what looks good on them and what they like to wear. They can mix pieces as well as any designer. But if they want some assistance, we are more than happy to help answer questions, determine time frames, present seminars/fashion shows etc with no obligation. It is easy to contact us:

With just one look, Pam Elmer, a certified mastectomy and bra fitter, can tell if a woman is wearing the wrong size bra. It is said that 80% of women are not wearing the right size or style of bra for them. She believes it’s closer to 90%. How can you tell? Well, leave it to the professional to help you figure that out. But in the mean time, here are some signs that it’s time to throw out the old and get into the new. • You’vegainedorlostweightsinceyourlastfitting• Yourbraridesupyourback, especially ifyouhave italready hooked on the tightest!• Thewirespokeorbotheryou• Thestrapsslideoffyourshoulders• It’srippedorhasrunsintheband• Youarespillingoutofthetop, orbottom…orboth• Ontheotherhand, thecupsarewrinkled Christensen’s will measure, right over your shirt and then bring every bra in your size right to your dressing room. You won’t have to hunt through racks trying to figure it out yourself. If left to her own devices, a woman may become discouraged and settle for something close, or give up all together. Christensen’s makes sure you’ve got the proper fit for your shape, ensuring a great value with a high quality product! Still popular are the T-shirt bras. Most have molded cups for shaping and modesty without adding too much

bulk. Christensen’s carries the most comfortable bra ever made. The Coobie bra is a one size fits most, from 32A-36D, and extended sizes from 38A-40D/DD. They come in really fun colors too and they perform like a mock camisole if you are into the layered look, without the bulk of wearing two shirts! Bridal season is upon us and strapless wedding gowns are an ever-popular style. Christensen’s has long line strapless bras in sizes 32B to 50G. They also come with straps that can be converted to almost any configuration you may need. A long line holds in the tummy, makes you sit up straight, and lifts the breasts to where the darts of the dress are, so everything lines up properly. Christensen’s has you covered with bridal lingerie for your honeymoon in sizes small to 3X, from sexy to sensible! An extensive line of swimwear is available year-round in sizes 6-26. Styles include bikinis, tankinis, skirtinis, swim dresses, and one-piece suits. Including the popular chlorine-proof, polyester swimsuits, which are great when you’re in the pool 3 days a week or more! Christensen’s also offers certified mastectomy fittings for breast cancer survivors in a Medicare Accredited Facility. Pam will file all insurance paperwork (not just involving Medicare) for her clients to alleviate any stress. Christensen’s has been offering women of all ages the proper fit and an honest opinion since 1932!

If you want one of-a-kind furnishings that reflect your individuality, Great Estates in downtown Oshkosh is where you must go! Owner Mike Russell has an eye for style which is reflected in all his shop’s merchandise.

“We select high quality new furniture made in North Carolina from only the finest hardwoods. The commitment to quality follows thru in hand tied springs as well,” Mike states. Key City Furniture, Stonebridge Upholstery and Crescent Furniture are three of the lines carried at Great Estates. “When

you choose us to help you furnish your home, we will help you select the fabric as well, you will only have 1,300 choices to pick from,” Mike jokingly explained. But when you are furnishing a house, office or apartment sometimes new furniture isn’t what’s needed. In that case, Mike’s eye for antiques and estate pieces which are treasures can bring together the whole room and establish the perfect décor. Maybe you want a mix of new and old, there are new options available on a regular basis.

As the shop’s name states, Great Estates is dedicated to the whole ambiance of a home. There are china, crystal, silver, and decorative accessories available.

Estate and antique jewelry is part of the offerings from Great Estates as well. “We were fortunate to secure the remaining inventory of Bohlson and Loper Jewelers at tremendous savings,” Mike said.

Mike Russell is happy to be part of downtown Oshkosh. “The heart of any community is its downtown. The unique architecture, restaurants, library and The Grand Opera House are the reasons Great Estates stays downtown. We are a unique store in a unique setting,” Mike points out. In November, Great Estates will be celebrating their eleventh anniversary.

One of the newest additions to Downtown Oshkosh is Elle Mae ~ A Romance Boutique. Elle Mae opened its doors for business at the end of April on 300 State Street, across from Atomicatz.

Elle Mae is an upscale lingerie shop and an adult boutique for women.

Elle Mae offers high-end, quality lingerie for every day, and affordable and fun evening wear. In 1985 I moved to Oshkosh and opened R&B Jewelry services which changed to Bergman’s Fine Goldsmithing in the 90’s and was located on the north end of Bowen

St. I did repair work for jewelry stores from Green Bay to Fond du Lac deciding last year to take what was a strictly wholesale repair and custom shop and changing it into a retail store at our present location. We bring with us knowledge in repairing broken jewelry and holloware as well as designing and creating custom pieces in silver and gold. Our expertise includes sizing jewelry, working in sterling silver, karat gold and platinum, many times with same day service. 85% of what I sell is designed and crafted by me but, if you have your own design we can make it for you as well. Karniby’s works hard to find apparel that their customers ask for and for styles that are suitable for women’s lifestyles. Not only does Karniby’s offer limited quantities to keep styles unique, they also search for clothing and accessories that are not typically found in department or chain stores to help ensure each purchase is one-of-a-kind.

Accessories are a great way to transition into your fall wardrobe. By adding a scarf in colors of the autumn leaves and adding a trendy bag from the fabulous selection, you’ll be set to slide into fall in style. Be sure to stop in frequently as new merchandise arrives weekly and quantities are limited. You’ll be sure to find that special something for yourself, a friend or both!

Accessories are hotter than ever with necklaces worn in layers that compliment each other. Bracelets also go on the “more the better” theory and wide cuff bracelets are also still a big trend worn easily without a lot of fuss. Handbags are large with zipper detail, or bright colors like orange, yellow and lime green.

Tops are styled with soft flowing ruffles around the neck or loosely down the front. Uneven hemlines on tops are also popular and the longer tunic tops are great worn with leggings.

The military look has influence in jackets. The look is softer, more feminine and in colors ranging from olives and gray to white and soft pinks and yellows.

Overall the look for spring/summer is an easy, comfortable look without a lot of fuss…but do not forget the accessories.
