My Name is Josh Landers. I am currently a senior at Shore-wood High School. I just completed the Intermediate class forGraphic Design. I am a firm believer that some of the simplestdesigns can be the most powerful and that is what I tried to stickto when creating this design. I am honored to have had my de-sign chosen by the Recreation Department for the Fall cover andhope everyone likes it.

The Shorewood High School Graphic Design (GD) Program iscomprised of an Introductory level, an Intermediate level and an

Meet ouR coveR DeSigneR...Meet ShoRewooD’S new SupeRintenDent MaRty LexMonD...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my-self as the new Superintendent of ShorewoodSchools. I am thrilled to be part of the Shorewoodcommunity. I look forward to continuing the traditionof excellence and in working together to makeShorewood Schools one of the most innovativeschool districts.

I am a native of Upper Michigan and attended highschool at St. Lawrence Seminary in Mt. Calvary Wis-

Advanced level. Within the program students are taught various computer softwares. The higher-level classes are taught in a design studio atmosphere wherein clients come to the class to present their ideas to the students and they work on projects thatare both school based as well as community based. Students have the option to takeIntroductory GD at the freshman level, and after, taking Advanced GD, and the firstlevel of Advanced GD, they can take multiple semesters of Advanced until they grad-uate. This is an especially helpful option for those students who plan on going intoGraphic Design, Advertising, or other Communication related fields at the college level.- Jeff Zimpel, SHS Graphic Design Teacher

consin. My education includes Marquette University, the University of Wis-consin - Milwaukee, and Cardinal Stritch University where I am completingmy dissertation for a doctorate degree. I was a teacher and administratorin Milwaukee Public Schools, a curriculum specialist in Denver, and mostrecently the superintendent and high school principal in Kohler.
