Top Ten Attendance Award: Park School Campus has been recognized by the Lake County Regional Office of Education for being one of the top ten schools in the county for attendance during Fall Attendance Week. This year Frederick School placed fifth in the Large Elementary School category for Lake County. Yazmin Lomas and Oronde Flemming accepted the Award representing Park School at the Awards Luncheon.

Pond Safety Announcement: We have numerous ponds/retention ponds in our subdivisions and neighborhoods. All students need to be reminded to that they must stay off the ice. The ponds are not meant for any winter activities. Thank you for your assistance. Winter Intramurals: Please see the attached Intramural Registration Flyer for the Winter Session. Registration is due by Friday, January 7th and the Winter Session runs from the week of January 18 through the first week of March. Yearbooks: On-line Yearbook ordering information in now on our school website. We are encouraging as many parents as possible to use the on-line ordering feature as it will allow us to better track student orders. Yearbooks will $16 per copy until December 31, 2010. As weather permits, we will have outdoor recess. The blacktop provides an area for students to play that are not dressed for the snow. We will be outside for recess unless the wind chill drops below zero degrees. PTO Thank You: We want to thank our PTO for raising $3476.71 in Scholastic Dollars for the Park School library. We are now able to purchase many new release and popular books. Activity Notification

Your student will be notified only if the activity has been canceled. So, mark your

calendars. Cancelation information will go out the week before Intramurals start.

All students should be picked up. Students will not be allowed to walk home alone and

without a signature from a parent or guardian.

As always, our program is non-profit. The pricing is set to cover the costs of sponsors and supplies

only. One session per week is $30.00 two sessions per week $50.00.

We are very happy to be able to offer this to our school community.

Arts and Crafts Grades 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6

If you like to make things or have a creative mind this activity is for you! Choose arts and crafts to complete in a group or individually. Supplies are provided. Sponsors: Ms. Lukowicz and Ms. Bassett Room 616 From 3:20 to 4:30 Wednesday $30.00

Games, Sports and Fun! Grades 3, 4, 5

Kids! Join in the fun. Play games like dodge ball, soccer, floor hockey, relay races and more with friends after school. Get great exercise and play as if you were outside. Sponsor: Mr. Mauro Multipurpose Room From 3:20 to 4:30 Tuesday and Thursday $50.00

Healthy Snacking Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Learn how to make and eat healthy. In this class you will be making snacks that taste good and are good for you. You may learn recipes that you will make for a lifetime! Sponsor: Mrs. Moll Teacher’s Lounge From 3:20 to 4:30 Monday $35.00 ($5.00 for food)

Art Club Grades 5, 6, 7, 8

Come create! This activity is for any student who would like to draw and do other artistic projects. Supplies are included. Sponsor: Mrs. Gruenwald Art Room From 3:20 to 4:30 Tuesday $30.00
