register at Blessed Sacrament, registration forms are

available at the back of the church, the parish office, or

register online at blsac.org.

BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/children

baptized should contact the Parish Office for arrangements.

A preparatory session is mandatory for the proper formation

of parents and godparents.

MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter a sacramental

marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six

months prior to the intended date.

VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish Office

should a relative/friend who is homebound/hospitalized need

a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of Anointing. A priest will

attend to the Sacrament and, as needed, will arrange for

Holy Communion to be brought to your loved one.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:

Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments are

taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation. Please call

the Parish Office and your message will be forwarded.

ACTIVO»: Participación semanal en el culto

ofertorio, y participación activa en un ministerio

de la parroquia o del colegio, y participación en la

ofrenda con gratitud y sacrificio.

Si usted da su ofrenda por internet, por favor,

entregue su sobre en la Misa marcando la casilla

«I give online». Si Ud. da su ofrenda en la Misa,

recuerde que en el día que no contribuya, debe

colocar el sobre vacío marcando la casilla «My

family participated[…]». Gracias.

El no usar los sobres por tres meses, coloca a la

persona o familia como inactiva. Los sobres y las

AYUNO Y ABSTINENCIA EN CUARESMA

Abstinencia. La ley de abstinencia obliga a los

que han cumplido catorce años a abstenerse de

comer carne los viernes en honor a la Pasión de

Jesús.

Ayuno. La ley de ayuno requiere que el

Católico desde los 18 hasta los 59 años reduzca la

cantidad de comida usual. Cuando se ayuna, se le

permite a la persona comer una comida completa,

así como dos comidas más pequeñas que juntas no

equivalgan a una comida completa. El ayuno es

obligatorio el Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes

Santo.

Escuchamos esta palabra en los círculos de la Iglesia frecuentemente. La Fe nos dice que todo viene de las Manos

de un Padre amoroso… sí, todo… aún nuestras posesiones materiales. Cuando cooperamos con el plan que Dios

tiene para cada uno de nosotros, somos capaces de usar los dones y talentos que Él nos dio para ser creativos,

tener trabajos que concuerden con nuestras habilidades, etc. Dios nos da TODO.�

Ser un administrador es ser un cuidador (recuerde que no somos dueños, ¡Dios es el dueño máximo!). A un

cuidador se le confían los bienes y propiedades de alguien más, y debe rendir cuentas. Habrá un ajuste de cuentas

de la confianza depositada en cada uno de nosotros. Solo una mente que comprende esto puede activar su corazón

para responder con gratitud. ¿Cómo logramos esto? Respondiendo. Devolvemos a Dios una porción del tiempo que

Él nos ha dado; devolvemos a Dios una porción del talento que Él nos ha dado; devolvemos a Dios una porción del

tesoro que Él nos ha dado. Y cuando hacemos esto de una manera regular, consistente, estamos siendo buenos

administradores, buenos cuidadores.�
