TO BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH. If you would

like to register at Blessed Sacrament, registration forms

are available at the back of the church, in the parish

office, or register online at blsac.org.

BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/

children baptized should contact the Parish Office. A

preparatory session is mandatory for the proper for-

mation of parents and godparents. You must be an ac-

tive member at Blessed Sacrament (3 months min.).

MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter into a sacramental

marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six

months prior to the intended date.

VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish Office

should a relative/friend who is homebound/hospitalized

need a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of Anointing. A

priest will attend to the Sacrament and, as needed, will

arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to your

loved one.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:

Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments are

taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation. Please

January 10 as the blood supply is low. The Red Cross

has assured us that donating blood is safe.

The Knights of Columbus will be giving away FREE

FINGER ROSARIES at the Family Rosary to be held

after the 9 am Mass on December 27th. An anonymous

Knight of Columbus is making these finger Rosaries

available to all parishes in the Diocese who have K of C

councils.

WHO IS A "REGISTERED AND ACTIVE" PARISHIONER?

A "Registered and Active" family/individual is one who:

1.Has been formally registered in the parish for at least 3 months.

2.Participates in Worship through weekly attendance at a Sunday Mass.

3.Uses the supplied Weekly Envelopes.

4.Is involved in a Parish or School Ministry through the sacrificial giving of Time, Talent & Treasure.

• If you give online, please turn in your empty envelopes weekly at Mass and check "I give online."

• If you contribute periodically through the collection, please remember to put in envelopes weekly, even if

empty, and mark "I attended Mass."

• Contributions in cash can only be considered when presented in the parish envelope.

• Multiple envelopes put in at a weekend Mass will be considered participation for that one Mass.

MEDITACIÓN DEL EVANGELIO

La sagrada Familia

La Navidad es familia, es calor de hogar, es pureza de cora-

zón. La Liturgia nos ayuda a recordar la belleza de este tiem-

po y las miradas son puestas en torno a la Sagrada Familia.

La familia es convocada, ahora más que nunca, a ser valorada

y enriquecida con lazos de comunión. Debe estar cimentada

en la fe. Como ejemplo de esa fe tenemos a Abraham, Simeón y Ana. Ellos supieron cumplir sus

deberes de fe y confianza plena en Dios. Bendiciendo y alabando a Dios por tener la oportunidad

de recibir a Jesús en sus brazos. “Ahora, Señor, ya puedes dejar que tu siervo muera en paz, como

le has dicho. Porque mis ojos han visto a tu salvador”. (Lucas 2:29-30)

La familia es un don de Dios. El Papa Francisco en diferentes ocasiones ha dicho lo siguiente sobre

la familia: “En su camino familiar, ustedes comparten tantos momentos inolvidables: las comidas,

el descanso, las tareas de la casa, la diversión, la oración, las excursiones y peregrinaciones, la soli-

daridad con los necesitados… Sin embargo, si falta el amor, falta la alegría, y el amor, y el amor

auténtico nos lo da Jesús”. Y añadió en otra de sus frases: "Cuando nos preocupamos por nuestras

familias y sus necesidades, cuando entendemos sus problemas y esperanzas... cuando sostienen la

familia, sus esfuerzos repercuten no sólo en beneficio de la Iglesia; también ayudan a la sociedad

entera”. La familia de estos tiempos es convocada a valorar y vivir una Iglesia doméstica auténtica,

donde el centro sea Jesús. ¿Es tu familia como la de Nazaret?

Definición de un miembro activo

Una familia o un individuo es considerado miembro activo cuando:

1. Ha estado inscrito formalmente en la parroquia por lo menos tres meses.

2. Participa en el culto mediante la asistencia semanal a las Misas dominicales.

3. Usa los sobres semanales suministrados y

4. Está involucrado en un ministerio de la iglesia o del colegio, compartiendo generosamente su tiempo,

talento y dinero.

Tenga la amabilidad de colocar sus sobres semanales en la cesta de la colecta cada fin de semana.

Si usted da su ofrenda por internet, por favor, en la Misa, entregue su sobre vacío marcando la casilla «I give onli-

ne». El sobre semanal es indicativo de su participación en la Misa.

Si usted contribuye periódicamente por medio de la colecta de la Misa, por favor, recuerde entregar su sobre se-

manalmente, aunque sea vacío.

El no usar los sobres por tres meses consecutivos coloca a la persona o familia como inactiva. Los sobres y las con-

tribuciones se registran en la semana en que se reciben.

Un miembro activo de la Iglesia Católica Blessed Sacrament puede contar con el privilegio de un descuento en el

pago del Colegio Católico Blessed Sacrament o del Bachillerato Bishop England.

En estos tiempos de pandemia, comprendemos la situación de la asistencia a la Misa y su dispensa. Si por condi-

ciones de salud y precaución, usted no está participando en la Misa en persona, por favor, envíe su ofrenda por

correo regular o por internet. Una vez que se levante la dispensa, cuando todos podamos celebrar la Misa libre-

mente; su sobre deberá ser colocado semanalmente en la cesta de la colecta dominical, aunque sea vacío.

Es desde ese fíat, hágase que Santa María respondió firme y amorosamente al Plan de

Dios; gracias a su entrega generosa Dios mismo se pudo encarnar para traernos la Re-

conciliación, que nos libra de las heridas del pecado.

La doncella de Nazareth, la llena de gracia, al asumir en su vientre al Niño Jesús, la

Segunda Persona de la Trinidad, se convierte en la Madre de Dios, dando todo de sí para

su Hijo; vemos pues que todo en ella apunta a su Hijo Jesús.

Es por ello, que María es modelo para todo cristiano que busca día a día alcanzar su santificación. En nuestra Ma-

dre Santa María encontramos la guía segura que nos introduce en la vida del Señor Jesús, ayudándonos a confor-

marnos con Él y poder decir como el Apóstol “vivo yo más no yo, es Cristo quien vive en mí”.

Santa María, Madre de Dios, consérvame un corazón de niño, puro y cristalino como el tuyo. Dame un corazón sen-

cillo que no se quede en las tristezas; un corazón grande para entregarse por completo, tierno en la compasión; un

corazón fiel y generoso que no olvide ningún bien ni guarde rencor por ningún mal.

Fórmame un corazón manso y humilde, que ame sin pedir nada a cambio, gozoso al desaparecer en otro corazón

ante tu divino Hijo; un corazón grande e indomable que con ninguna ingratitud se cierre, que con ninguna indife-

rencia se canse; un corazón que construya todo sobre la roca de Jesús, que toda su vida sea poner en el centro a

Dios y todo se ordene para hacer su santa voluntad, un corazón que alabe, que adore a Cristo nuestro Señor, por
