Listed below are some of the parking violations that are occurring: Parking prohibited. No person shall park a vehicle: 1. On a sidewalk 2. In front of, or immediately opposite a public, or private driveway 3. Within an intersection, or within 20 feet of an intersection 4. Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant 5. Within 30 feet of a stop sign, or traffic control signal 6. On the street, facing the wrong direction 7. In violation of posted signs 8. In such a manner as to obstruct a mailbox or interfere with the delivery of mail Please be vigilant in obeying these parking laws! The Westfield Police Department will be patrolling the area around the school and (depending on the violation) issuing tickets, and/or towing vehicles. Seniors, it's time to submit your senior quotes for the yearbook! Turn in quotes through Canvas under the "Class of 2019" course by March 22. school in all that they do. Each trimester, one student from each grade is chosen as a ROCKStar, as well as one staff member.

When nominating an individual to receive the ROCKStar Award, please include a

description of why you think they deserve to be recognized as rock stars.

4th and 5th period Release Students: You’re Invited to the 2 nd Annual Hamilton County Career Fair! It is sponsored by: Ivy Tech Noblesville, on March 14, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Last year 270 people attended and 60 companies participated. Jobs are available! Don’t miss it!!

Prom time is soon approaching which means it is time for Cinderella Story of Hamilton County. This year's event will be held March 16th at Monon Trail Elementary School. We are in currently in need of gently used DRESSES, SHOES, JEWELRY, and HANDBAGS. These items can be dropped off at Monon Trail or Westfield High School as well as the businesses listed on the attached flyer. Thank you in advance for your help this year!

Please note the Cinderella Story does not provide tickets to Prom. Students must make their own arrangements to purchase tickets to their Prom.

On Tuesday, March 19th high school students have an opportunity to take advantage of the Skilled Trades Majors & Careers Fair to be held at Carmel High School from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Over 65 professionals, companies, and organizations will represent in-demand, high-wage career options and training opportunities at the fair. The event is FREE, and local high school students and parents in all grade levels are welcome to attend! The event is hosted by Carmel High School’s College & Career Resource Center (CCRC) as a way to provide access to career information for local students.

Students and parents will also be able to attend breakout sessions in order to learn more about in-demand, high-wage careers and related educational and training opportunities.

Do you hear the people sing? Do you love classic show tunes like "On My Own" or "Castle on a Cloud?" Do you enjoy laughing and crying and cheering for your favorite character? Make plans now to see Westfield High School Performing Arts Department's presentation of Les Misérables School Edition March 21st - 23rd at 7p.m. in the WHS Auditorium. Reserved tickets are $12 Adults, $10 students and may be purchased online through our new platform at whspa.booktix.com .

Tri 2 Ceramics students : everything* has been either bisque-fired or glaze-fired (*except a few that were glazed late last week). Please stop by the ceramics studio ASAP to pick up work, or you can sign up for any PlusTime (Ceramics/Sculpture Open Studio) to finish any incomplete work. All items must be claimed/picked up by Spring Break, then it is going in the dumpster! (Items in display cases are being saved for ROCK THE ARTS on May 5th.)

Immunization Notice for Juniors: Letters to parents of Juniors will be mailed to provide notification of the immunizations your Junior still needs BEFORE their Senior year.

● The State of Indiana requirements for Seniors was changed for 2018-19. ● If you do not receive a letter, your student's immunizations are up-to-date for their Senior

year. ● We are asking for your assistance now in order to process updated immunizations for 563

students before Fall 2019.

2019-20 REQUIRED Immunizations for WHS Seniors

The following Immunizations are REQUIRED for Seniors before starting school Fall 2019:

1. 2 nd MCV4 (Meningitis) 2. Hepatitis A #1 & #2

· Requires 2 doses given at least 6 months apart

( Immunization EXEMPTIONS - Religious or Medical - can be accepted AFTER Spring Break for the following school year). Students: When arriving on late start Wednesdays, you may enter the building at 8:05 am but you may NOT be in the hallways and/or classrooms until 8:15 am. You may wait in the Bistro, the

Main Office Atrium, the Main Cafeteria or Door #13 Atrium. Breakfast will be served in the Main Cafeteria and the Bistro but the Learning Center and Famous Phils is closed during that time. Door 2 (south end of the Music Hall) and Door 3 (south end out the back of the Auditorium) are both EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY doors. Do not exit these doors, or gather outside in this area, unless there is an emergency. The 2018-2019 Yearbook is now for sale for $60. Order your book at yearbookforever.com right now before prices go up. Senior Ads can also be purchased at yearbookforever.com for $90. WHS students and parents: Please be aware that students may not have food delivered from any outside restaurant delivery service during the school day. ANY exceptions MUST have approval from an administrator. Students who forgot a lunch have the option of eating in one of our cafeterias. We have our main cafeteria that offers multiple food choices each day, our Famous Phil’s shop in the Learning Center that offers sandwiches, and our Box Office Bistro that has pizza every day. Lunch money can be deposited online at any time. If a parent drops off lunch from an outside restaurant it will be kept in the office area and the student it belongs to will be asked to eat that lunch in the office area. Students will not be called to the office to pick up lunch-if you anticipate bringing your child’s lunch to school, please let him or her know beforehand to check in at the office for his/her lunch. The 7th Annual Lions Club/Leo Club Pancake Breakfast is coming up on March 23 from 8-11am at the Westfield Lions Club, 120 Jersey St, Westfield. All of this year's proceeds will be donated to Katlyn Stevenson, WHS Cheer Coach and 2013 graduate of WHS, who has been battling cancer. We would love to have as many come out as possible to help support one of our own. Do you love bowling? Would you like to get better? Then join the WHS Bowling Team for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Gibbs in the learning center during any lunch period. If you are wanting to participate in Goat yoga , Tuesday March 5th at 3:30, make sure you are securing your spot. $10 for club members and $15 for everyone else. Teachers are welcome to join in as well! Bring your money to Mrs. McKinney or Mrs. Messmore, next week. The Arab Culture Club is kicking off third trimester on Wednesday March 6th during Rocks Connection in room 2206. Please come join us! Reserve your spot for Goat Yoga here at WHS. It is $10 if you are a member of yoga club or animal club and $15 if you are not. It will take place Tuesday March 5th at 3:30 in the LGI. There are a limited number of spots and they will be filled on a first come first serve basis. See Mrs. Messmore (room 1243) or Mrs. McKinney (room 2423) to reserve your spot. We have a new security system this year called Safe Visitor . For the safety and security of our students and staff ALL visitors to the school will need to be prepared to show their driver’s license or photo identification as a visitor in our school.
