A Message from Mrs. Lynch
Our 3rd and 4th grade students have really done a fantastic job persevering and doing their personal
best on ISTEP+! We just have a few days next week to finish up!
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you to our PTO for planning some fantastic activities
for our teachers. Oak Trace is blessed to have amazing teachers. Please have your children take a mi-
nute to thank their teachers for a great year. Wednesday is also School Nurse Day and we will show our
appreciation for Mrs. Gumino.
Next Wednesday we will be honoring all of the many volunteers at Oak Trace! Please remember to RSVP
for Wednesday’s reception.
Bike to School day is Wednesday, May 10th! Your child MUST be registered as a bike rider in order to
participate! Please be sure to send in the registration form. You can also email Mrs. Parisi at paris-
[email protected]. Bike tags will be coming home and the little license plate tags will need to be at-
tached to each bike so that we know your child has registered and so that every child leaves with the cor-
rect bike.
We had a fun night Thursday at the first annual Lego Construction Competition between elementary
buildings. Local builders helped to judge the completed Lego homes. Special thanks to all of our school
coaches and teams as well as BAGI (Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis) for sponsoring this fun
event! Check out the story on WTHR13: https://www.wthr.com/article/westfield-lego-building-

Have a great weekend!

Bike to School Day is just around the corner! If you have
not registered your child, please do so before May 3rd.
We are not riding the students back to the clubhouse, so
your child either needs to be joined by an adult for the
ride home or do what he/she typically does for the af-
ternoon ride home. All bikes will be parked in the back
parking lot of Oak Trace during the day of May 10th.
Viking Meadows families will meet at the VM clubhouse
and Countryside families will meet at the Countryside
clubhouse. Both groups will take off at 8:30 and will have police help crossing ma-
jor streets.
We have over 100 students already signed up! I am looking forward to a fun ride.
Hopefully this won’t happen, but if we have rain on 5/10, we will cancel with no
plans to make it up. :(
