Habitat of Hummingbird
• The Hummingbird species is only found in the Western Hemisphere, from Southwestern Alaska to southern Chile although most live in the tropics.
Diet of Hummingbird
• The Hummingbird species mostly eat flower nectar, tree sap, insects, and pollen.
General Characteristics
• The Hummingbird species have a skinny gray body, a very long beak, dots on its eyes, and 2 long wings.
Why Is it Endangered?
• The Hummingbird species are endangered because of habitat destruction. Pesticides and invasive plants threaten the future of these beautiful birds.
What Can We Do to Save It?
• Ways we can help save the hummingbird species is to adopt a hummingbird, meaning sending money to their habitat so people who have a good cause for them can buy the land so people who don’t have a good cause cannot destroy Their habitat.
