I wish to congratulate those in our Family Life & Forma on program and our St. Norbert School second graders who received the Sacrament of Reconcilia on. It was a wonderful celebra on of God’s love and forgiveness. Thank you to the teachers, catechists and priests who helped in preparing the days’ event. One hundred seventy children received the sacrament for the first me! Let us con nue to pray for them as they prepare to receive our Lord in Holy Communion.

Our Chris an Service office con nues to serve more and more people in our local community with our Saturday food distribu on of fresh vegetables, bread, milk, canned goods and other essen al items. Thank you to all the volunteers who have come to assist with this ministry. We are happy to receive food dona ons of non-perishable food items. We are no longer accep ng dona ons of clothes or furniture.

Stations of the Cross The Sta ons of the Cross are a beau ful expression of our faith. In praying the Sta ons, we accompany the Lord on His journey to Calvary.

While stay-at-home orders are star ng to be relaxed, there are s ll restric ons on indoor gatherings. Fr. John and Deacons Rick and Carlos have prepared a Sta ons of the Cross video for your use—in the safety of your home or individually in the church. You may pray the Sta ons of the Cross ANY day of the week.

As we find ourselves in the midst of this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, may these reflec ons on the Sta ons of the Cross help you and your families feel Christ's presence with you. We will receive the results this spring/summer, at which me we will share what we have learned with the en re parish.

Christian Service In our first month, we have doubled the number of families served to 60 families! The Chris an Service Food Distribu on program had almost 200 volunteers and helped 758 people during the month of February! Each week, our loving volunteers prep bags of fresh produce, loaves of bread, eggs, meat, milk and a bag of non-perishables for distribu on at the drive thru.

For many in these parts of the world, a rising secular culture, difficult rural terrain and a shortage of ministers present obstacles to prac cing the faith. Your support of the collec on provides lay leadership training, catechesis, priestly and religious forma on and other programs to share our faith with those who long to hear the Good News of Christ.

Virtue of the Month: Respect Throughout the month of March, St. Norbert Catholic School students are studying the virtue of respect as part of the Virtues in Prac ce program. We invite parishioners to join our school community in recognizing the dignity of all people. By being respec ul, we are able to live in harmony with others.

The Virtues in Prac ce program, created by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville, is designed to help children in grades preschool through 8th to grow closer to Jesus by imita ng His life and virtues. Each month we focus on a specific virtue as well as saints who demonstrated that virtue. During the first assembly of the month, we also recognize students who exhibit these virtues.

Students Lend a Hand With the reopening of Chris an Service, SNCS students—current and alumni—are signing up to help with this important parish ministry. Volunteers help package donated food items and load into cars, giving four and a half hours of their me on Saturdays. Way to go Hawks!

Family Life & Formation March Family Activity Calendars Available Online Log on to our parish website to download our March family ac vity guide. The Office of Family Life & Forma on is commi ed to serving families. As part of our commitment to accompany our families while we cannot gather IN PERSON, we are providing this tool to support our community.

Adult Confirmation Bap zed and prac cing Catholics, 19 years and older who have not yet been confirmed, are invited to consider prepara on for the Sacrament of Confirma on. The 2021 prepara on program for adults is a 10-week course scheduled to begin March 16. This is a no-cost program that will be offered online via ZOOM on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 PM. Adult candidates must be bap zed and have received their First Communion (cer ficates must be submi ed for both). Rezo para que estas líneas les encuentren sanos y bien. Deseo felicitar a aquellos en nuestro programa de Vida Familiar y Formación y a nuestros estudiantes de segundo grado de la Escuela de San Norberto que recibieron el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. Fue una maravillosa celebración del amor y el perdón de Dios. Gracias a los maestros, catequistas y sacerdotes que ayudaron en la preparación y con el evento ese día. ¡140 niños recibieron el Sacramento por primera vez! Con nuemos orando por ellos mientras se preparan para recibir a nuestro Señor en la Sagrada Comunión.

Nuestra oficina de Servicios Cris anos con núa sirviendo a más y más personas en nuestra comunidad local con distribución de comida los sábados de fruta y verdura, pan, productos enlatados, leche y otros ar culos esenciales. Gracias a todos los voluntarios que han venido a ayudar con este ministerio. Nos complace recibir donaciones de alimentos no perecederos. Ya no aceptamos donaciones de ropa o muebles.

Vía Crucis El Vía Crucis es una hermosa expresión de nuestra fe. Al rezar las estaciones, acompañamos al Señor en su camino hacia el Calvario.
