There was a farmer who grewaward-winning corn. Each

year he en-t e r e d

h i scorn in thestate fair where it won a blueribbon.

One year a newspaper re-porter interviewed him andlearned something interest-

ing about how he grew it. Thereporter discovered that thefarmer shared his seed cornwith his neighbors.

How can you aord to shareyour best seed corn with yourneighbors when they are en-tering corn in competitionwith yours each year? the re-

porter asked.

Why sir, said thefarmer, didntyou know?The wind picksup pollen fromthe ripening

corn and swirls itfrom ield to ield. If

my neighbors grow inferiorcorn, cross-pollination willsteadily degrade the quality ofmy corn. If I am to grow goodcorn, I must help my neigh-bors grow good corn.

He is very much aware ofthe connectedness of life. Hiscorn cannot improve unlesshis neighbors corn also im-proves.

So it is in other dimensions.Those who choose to be at

peace must help their neigh-bors to be at peace. Those whochoose to live well must helpothers to live well, for the val-ue of a life is measured by thelives it touches. And those whochoose to be happy must help

others to ind happiness for thewelfare of each is bound up withthe welfare of all.

The lesson for each of us is this:if we are to grow good corn, wemust help our neighbors growgood corn.

Loving People, WHM had conduct-ed the Membership Class, Harvest101 last Sunday. This class intro-duces WHM beliefs and principlesinto the participants, and givesthem the opportunity to becomeofcial or covenanted members ofthis church family. Since last Sun-day, ten people have been newly

covenanted members of WorldHarvest Ministries. Welcome tothe WHM family!

Matab-ang MissionLast Sunday, the Matab-ang mis-sions team went to our beloved

community for the weeklygathering. Kuya Larry Guanzonshared about The ProdigalSon, and the residents got ex-cited and involved. Meanwhile,the kids had fun with Ptr. Mafeand the kids team. Matab-angis growing! We would like toask for your support, as we
