• Some parasitic amoebas live in human intestines and cause amebic dysentery (painful bleeding ulcers).

Flagellates

• Have flagellums to move.• Live in water.• Some are parasites that cause dieases.

Ex. Giardia Lamblia (diarrhea)

•Some have symbiotic relationships.Ex. Live in guts of termites to digest wood.

Ciliates• Have 100’s of hair-like structures called

cilia.

• Cilia: move, help it get food, beat up to 60 x’s a second.
