MATCHING CAMPAIGN November 21, 2016 Dear Love INC Friends, What an amazing year the Lord provided for all of us; full of God's blessings through joy, laughter, tears, frustration, connections, reflections, and love. As I come to the completion of my first year as Executive Director, I recognize a tremendous amount of focus, growth, and learning not only in Love INC as an organization, but also in myself. I have loved every minute of it! This advent season, through the end of the year, generous donors have offered to MATCH EVERY DOLLAR DONATED UP TO $15,000. These financial gifts will be used to help Love INC continue to fulfill our mission to help churches help people. Through this matching campaign you have an opportunity to DOUBLE THE IMPACT OF YOUR DONATION! We estimate for every $1 donated to Love INC, nearly $5 in goods and services is provided to our community. In 2015, more than 16,000 volunteer acts of service were provided through almost 45,000 volunteer hours to 4,500 adults and 1,900 children in need. Love INC is a ministry of partner churches, providing congregations the opportunity to show Christ's love to our neighbors in need and walk alongside them to truly transform our community. Volunteers from our 46 partner churches have provided clothing, linens, personal care items, car and home repairs, visits to shut-ins, budget and relationship coaching, transportation to doctor's appointments, prayer, friendship, and so much more. Through Love INC's call center, connect cards at the Clothes Closet, and our online request for assistance form, our neighbors have even more avenues for reaching out to us when they are in need. Partner church volunteers begin relationships with the people they serve, which helps discover their deeper underlying needs. As the relationship grows, volunteers encourage their neighbors to discover and develop the gifts God has given them to become self- sustaining again. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power. MINISTRY AREAS YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL HELP
MINISTRY AREA BUDGET
Clearinghouse ‘Help Center’ Ministry $97,000.00The Clearinghouse is our call center receiving requests for help, screens them, verifies the needs and client information are genuine, and refers the request to a partner church ministry, volunteer, or community agency. A follow-up is done to insure the need was met, offer spiritual support, and to continue building the relationship.
Gap & Change Your Life Ministries $96,000.00Our eight Gap Ministries provide resources or services to meet ongoing needs not currently being met by other agencies or organizations. The Change Your Life Ministry helps people acquire one or more skills to move toward self-sufficiency through caring relationships and class/training opportunities.
Operations Ministry $73,000.00Operations support is vital to the function of each ministry. Love INC has reduced office space cost from an estimated $36,000 per year to the 2016 budget of $7,500.
Other Non-profit Expenses $24,000.00
TOTAL 2016 BUDGET EXPENSES $290,000.00
We are completely dependent upon volunteers and donations. Our 2015 total value of goods and services provided to the community was more than $1.3 million.
