Introduction
Activity Status Bulk Updater is an add-on for Dynamics CRM that allows users to update status for
activities like Phone Call, Service Activity, Campaign Activity, Campaign response and Task in bulk. This
Plug-in allows users to select multiple activities and change status for each activity in a single click, which
saves time.
Benefits of Activity Status Bulk Updater
• It changes status of more than one activity in just one click.
• It is very quick and easy
• It is easily available from the grid tool bar.
• One can update the status of Service Activities in Bulk to ‘Open’ or ‘Schedule’
• In Activity Status Bulk Updater, the change in the status is reflected in the main Activities Grid.
Pre-requisites
Following points must be followed before starting the Plugin installation:
• You should be logged into Dynamics CRM Online.

Installation & Configuration
Installation Steps
To install ‘Activity Status Bulk Updater’, the following steps have to be followed:
• On purchasing the plugin, you will get a zip file named ActivityStatusBulkUpdater.zip.

• Login to your CRM Account and click on Settings -> Solutions.
• Click on ‘Import’ to upload and install the Solution.
• Click on ‘Browse’ button and choose the Package Zip File for Activity Status Bulk Updater from the
Import Solution Window.

• Click on ‘Next’ for further processing.
• Check the box to enable any SDK message processing steps included in the solution and click on
Import button to Import the Solution

• Click on ‘Close’ after successful completion message is displayed.
• Once you import the solution, it will be displayed in the solutions grid view.

Configuration Steps
• Double click on ‘Activity Status Bulk Updater’ solution to configure the plugin with your license
key.
• This will open up a new window. Click on ‘Configuration’ from the options provided on the left
side.
• To activate the plugin, enter your ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’ and a valid ‘Email address’.
• Now click on ‘Request OTP’ button to receive One Time Password for Email Verification.

• After receiving One Time Password enter it in the ‘Verification Code’ field and click on ‘Activate’
button.
Note: In case you have not received the One Time Password click on ‘Resend Code’ link to receive it.
• Once you have verified your email address, your plugin will be automatically activated.

Assign User Role:
• To manage the user roles, navigate to Settings -> Security -> Users.
• Now select the users whose roles are to be managed and click on ‘MANAGE ROLES’. This will open
up a pop up to select roles.
• To access AppJetty product entities assign ‘AppJetty Activity Status Bulk Updater’ role to selected
users.
Note:
• ‘System Administrator’ will also be able to access AppJetty Product Entities.

Procedure
To configure “Activity Status Bulk Updater” the following steps have to be followed
• To update the activities in bulk, navigate to Sales -> Activities.
• User will be able to update status for the following Activities.
▪ Campaign Activity
▪ Campaign response
▪ Phone Call
▪ Service Activity
▪ Task
• To update the status of multiple activities together, select activities from the List and click on
‘UPDATE ACTIVITY’ option.

• On clicking ‘UPDATE ACTIVITY’, a new form will pop up wherein you can update activity status for
selected activities.
• It displays the total selected activities to update.

• Count for each activity’s selected records is also displayed along with the list of status for each
activity.
Note: You can only update the status of activities which are not completed. If you have selected activities whose status is completed/closed/canceled then the list of status against such activities will be disabled and you won’t be able to select a status.
• By clicking on ‘Update’ Button, all activities will be updated and a summary for the updated
activity will be displayed in a popup.
• Click on ‘OK’ and it will redirect you to the Activities Page where you can see the updated status of
activities.

Un-installation Steps
• To uninstall the Solution, go to Settings - > Solutions
• Check on the Plugin Name and click on ‘Delete’.
• Click on ‘OK’ to Delete and uninstall the solution from CRM.
