United Methodist Church of Le Mars
“Transforming Hearts, Minds, and Lives
by the Gracious Love of Christ”
Dear UMCL Friends, I can’t believe that we are almost in the middle of our fourth year since the good Lord brought us together. The joy we bring to each other, our community and the world through our worship services and ministries, makes me feel the blessing of being part of your spiritual journey. The Finance/Stewardship Team and I would like to thank you all for your continual support and generosity to the house of the Lord. As we approach the end of this year, I would like to remind you that Sunday, November 10 is going to be a special day in our church family. We will celebrate our annual Commitment Sunday during the worship service and our first annual community dinner “Pasta with a Purpose” in the evening. Pasta with Purpose is an event that will bring all of us (men, ladies, youth, and children) together to celebrate our unity and serve the community. The success of our community dinner and the mission the Lord has given us for the year 2020 depends on our dedication and willingness to work together as one Body of Christ. Your physical, spiritual and financial contributions will help us, as a congregation, fulfill the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Looking at what the Lord is calling us to do next year, our goal for the general fund, as approved by the Administrative Council on our projected 2020 Budget, is $240,990. 00. In addition to our general giving, we still need your input into our Forward in Faith Building Fund. Considering stewardship as an act of discipleship, let us prayerfully complete and return the Estimate Giving Card and the Electronic Fund (EFT) Authorization form you received in the mail to the church office or simply place them in the offering plate during the worship services starting Sunday, November 10 through December 8. If you did not receive my mail, you can find one in the Fellowship Hall. Remember, this card is not a bill but it is an opportunity for ALL of us, as a congregation, to commit ourselves to celebrate what God is calling us to do in the new year 2020. Friends, as we look forward to celebrating our Commitment Sunday and “Pasta with a Purpose” , I would like to invite you to join me in a three week stewardship series entitled, “Three Simple Rules of Wesleyan Stewardship” that will start on Nov. 10. Once again, thank you all for your unceasing support and continual giving to God through the United Methodist Church of Le Mars. May God bless and see you on Sunday. Pastor Michel O. Lundula
“I’m thankful for all of you every time I pray, and it’s always a prayer full of joy. I’m glad because of the way you
have been my partners in the ministry of the gospel from the time you first believed it until now.” Philippians 1:4-5

Hello All Hope all is well with all of you. Its hard to believe that summer is over & we are planning for Christmas for our families. We are doing something a bit different this year for our families here at the Center. We will not be giving a coat, snow pants & boots to our families since there are about 3 other organizations currently doing this also. We do have some new coats on hand & will give to those who haven't gotten one from these other places. This year will be give pajamas, slippers, and a Christian book to each child. Along with this each family will get a family fun pack which will include a game or movie, some snacks & a throw blanket. We will also give each family a Christmas meal. Our elderly that come here for help will also get the Christmas meal & a blanket. We feel that our elderly are the ones being hit the hardest and getting the least, so we would like to help them feel special this time of year as well. God Bless Susan Van Driel
