Board Members

The United Latino Student Association is comprised of eight board members:

President – Louis Bravo (CSUF) Vice – President - Diana Ramirez (CSUDH) Treasure – Cyndi De Leon (UCI) Executive Administrator - Cristal Ramirez (SDSU) Director of Corporate Relation – Lino Jaimes (CSUF) Director of Marketing – Leo Hernandez (CSUF) Director of Information & Technology – Jairo Ramirez (CSUF) Director of Alumni Relations – Daniel Gomez (CSULA)

The ULSA board is designed to:

Be a support system to our members and their organization by helping them exceed their yearly goals and be of any assistance when needed.

Foster relationships with current sponsors and seek the support from new partners. The support from our sponsors and alumni allow us to facilitate our events and operate as an organization.

Continue to grow and strengthen the alumni network. We will continue to foster the relationship amongst past and current members alike to help enrich the opportunities ULSA has to offer.

Provide developmental workshops and networking events to help members further grow professionally.

With thirteen chapters in California, we are in the process of growing our “FAMILIA”. We want to reach out and help as many Latino based professional organizations as we can, and also connect our extreme schools with chapters they can network with.

Professional Events

Leadership ConferencePurpose: The leadership conference is provided for both undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking professional development training, financial planning, career readiness and the opportunity to network with top leading companies. The Leadership Conference will provide students with opportunities to network with student leaders from 13 universities, access to professional development workshops, and opportunities to interact with corporate representatives. Our goal is to inspire and motivate students to continue growing as leaders and use the skills they learned within their schools and their community.

Workshops: Students will get an opportunity to attend a series of workshops that are led by professionals. These workshops consist of topics that will better knowledge the students on enhancing their leadership abilities. Some of the workshops done in the past were:

How to approach a career fair Social Media Resume Polishing Team Management Financial Literacy Interview Skills

Corporate MixerPurpose: The Corporate Mixer is one of ULSA’s most intimate professional events as students will get an opportunity to hear the career path, experience, and receive advice from our professionals. Professionals from different industries are part of a panel where they are asked a series of questions regarding their career and experience within the company and how they got their position. We want students to get an idea of the different skills and knowledge that made the professionals successful.

Interview SummitPurpose: The interview summit is designed to help students with their interview skills. The event consists of mock interviews done by professionals where they will be able to give constructive feedback in a less stressful environment. Students will experience hands on interview with questions that are regularly asked to better prepare them for future interviews. We want students to walk out confident while being fully aware and prepared on the different types of interviews they may face.
