• The Yalta Conference was a meeting that took place

during World War II. Churchill, Stalin, and

Roosevelt in Yalta on the Crimean Peninsula.

Some of the agreements were that:

– Germany would be divided into 4 blocs.

– The USSR would join the UN, but each member of the

security council would have veto power.

– The USSR would join the allies in defeating Japan.

– The USSR took back lands that they lost during World

War I.
