In December 2013, Thai Yokorei opened its second distribution centre in Wang Noi to expand its capacity and thereby increasedthe company’s contribution to the Thai economy.

The cold storage sector plays an important role in the country’s industrial development. In particular, it can be a catalyst for achieving the government’s objective of promoting Thai agricultural produce exports as it is key to maintaining quality so that the produce reaches the consumer in excellent condition. This, in turn, promotes confidence in Thai produce among consumers in key export markets.

Thai Yokorei is a leading force in the cold storage industry. Moreover, it operates its international standard facilities according to principles of social and environmental responsibility which is in line with the Department of Industrial Works’ core policies.

Thai Yokorei Co., Ltd was founded in 1989 as a pioneer in the cold storage industry in Thailand.

To meet rising demand following the government’s long-term policy of “ Kitchen Of The World “, the business subsequently diversified.

Factories were established at Samrong in 1991, and the company continued to expand at Bangpakong and Samrong 2nd and 3rd Phase. In year 2007, the company’s total capacity reached 30,000 tonnes.

In the midst of rising demand for cold storage and Third Party Logistics (3PL), in year 2011, the company launched a new distribution centre in Wang Noi District, Ayutthaya Province with a capacity of 15,000 tonnes. In year 2013 Wang Noi Second Distribution Centre was established with a capacity of 27,300 tonnes, and provided with state-of-the art technology and know-how of Yokohama Reito Public Company Limited, Japan.

In August 2015, the company will establish Bangpakong Second Distribution Centre with a capacity of 23,000 tonnes. By way of this diversification, comprising 3 locations and 5 distribution centres, the company’s total capacity reached 100,000 tonnes and the company can contribute to food related markets as the number one player in Thailand.
