SUDDEN DEATHDEFINITION:

WHO : Death within 24 hours fron the onset of symptoms

Usually due to illness.

Death may appear sudden and unexpected – the deceased may have been symptomless and unaware of his chronic disease.

SUDDEN DEATHThe deceased didn’t mention his condition to others

due to fear and lack of human contact.

In many jurisdiction , deaths may be certified by the attending physician

Most common cause of death is the Ischaemic Heart Disease.

Sudden, Unexpected Natural DeathThe largest category of deaths handled by most

medical examiner’s offices is natural deaths Most of these are sudden and unexpected deaths.

Ishaemic Heart DiseaseComprises of:

other coronary artery disease, such as poliarteritis

cardiomypathic enlargement

some congenital heart disease.

of a tubal pregnancy. The woman may have only vague symptoms of abdominal pain, often ascribed to gastroenteritis

MiscellaneousRupture of the tubal pregnancy can result in massive

hemoperitoneum with 2–3 L of blood present

Other causes of sudden, unexpected death due to natural disease seen by the authors include idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis, central pontine myelinosis, cysticercosis, a stasis ulcer of the ankle with erosion into a vessel, an aneurysm of the femoral artery with erosion through the vessel wall and skin with massive exsanguination and undiagnosed malignant tumors.

Tumor and TraumaThere is no medical proof that a single traumatic event

can give rise to a malignant tumor. However, a causal relation between head trauma, such as a fracture of the skull, and the subsequent development of a meningioma

Tumors and TraumaTrauma has also been linked to the metastatic spread

of a preexisting malignant tumor. Multiple episodes of trauma in conjunction with other factors may cause cancer, for example, chronic irritation of the skin and squamous cell carcinoma.
