Dear Friends, If you haven’t already, very soon you will receive a letter from Bishop Sullivan which will include the 2017 House of Charity – Bishop’s Annual Appeal materials. This year, the theme Encounter the Living God provides a special opportunity for us to realize the presence of God around us. Pope Francis tells us, when we encounter one another in respect and dignity, we encounter the living God. By sup-porting the House of Charity – Bishop’s Annual Appeal, you are supporting the programs and ministries of the Dio-cese of Camden that bring respect and dignity to those in need. Whether the need is physical, emotional or spiritu-al, we strengthen our Catholic community. Here at Saint Bridget’s University Parish, we receive a grant of nearly $120,000 from House of Charity to be used for campus ministry. The grant also has a tremendous benefit to the parish at large. I ask for your continued prayers as we Encounter the Living God and are inspired to loving relationships that heal and sow hope. Our in-pew solicitation is February 4th and 5th -- Super Bowl Weekend – and near the Feast of Saint Bridget. Because the solicitation is that weekend, and because there is a breakfast going on, we’re postpon-ing the Saint Bridget Mass until springtime so we can better celebrate our patron. CATHOLIC DIVORCE MINISTRY Divorce and Beyond is a seminar/support group for those who are separated and have made the decision to divorce or have gone through a divorce.
