Saint Bridget Parish Maynard, Massachusetts
Weekly Offertory for November 11-12: $3209
Maintenance & Repairs: $2143 Today’s second collection is for the Retired Religious Sisters
We need a minimum of $5,000 in weekly collections
to cover our monthly expenses. As you can see, the church is being painted. It has been over 10 years since it was last painted.
This is a significant expenditure. Any donations towards the cost of painting the church will be appreciated.
Fr. Prusaitis
RETIRED RELIGIOUS SISTERS Today’s second collection helps to provide for the needs of our 2,000 retired sisters. These beloved women served people in the parishes,
schools, hospitals and social services of the Archdiocese for more than 54,000 years collectively. Please take this opportunity to thank the sis-ters who embraced the call to serve us so faithfully over the years. In their time of need now, every contribution makes a difference. Today,
80% of the sisters’ healthcare and retirement expenses go unmet by social security benefits. Thank you for your generosity and prayerful
support of the sisters.
Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time God has given each of us different gifts. It is not the number of gifts/talents that matter. What matters is how each one of us uses the gifts
God has given. God never demands from us what we do not have; but God does demand that we use to the full the gifts which we do possess.
Today’s parable tells us that whatever our gift or talent, be it little or big, great or small, we must lay it at the service of God. Where are you
putting your gifts at the service of God and other
THANK YOU To all our parishioners who donated over 250(!) bags of
groceries for the Maynard Food Pantry, and to the grade 9 Confirmation students who helped to transport. For all you
do to assist God’s poor, thank you from the Food Pantry who were overwhelmed at your generosity.
A special thanks also to Roche Bros. for donating the bags.
