Dear Friends, I’ve listened closely to many comments about the message presented at Mass these last few weeks. They are mostly positive, encouraging and understanding of the importance for the future of the university parish. This weekend, on be-half of the Rebuild Planning Team, I am introducing someone who represents most Catholics in the Glassboro area – yes, most, nearly 80 per cent. Our mission, as a universal church and local community, is to live the great commission of our Lord Jesus: Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Mt 28:19-20 Over the last couple weeks, the message has been to honestly and thoroughly assess how we are living that commis-sion. In many ways we are, and that is great. Still, we must find ways to reach the person who is simply disconnected, or de-churched. Not only will we feel a spirit of renewal, the de-churched family will experience a genuine invitation to reconnect. And many of the present challenges will fade away. Whenever there is a Christ focused mission, the com-munity is fully alive. My friends, inserted in this bulletin is a team collaborated composite of who is disconnected from our community. We named him/her Glassboro Glenn. Take the inserted profile of Glenn and put it on your refrigerator. Glen may live next door or down the street. Our mission is to create an environment of welcome. Pray for Glenn, that our university parish will become a home where Glenn will embrace the mission to welcome other Glenn’s. God bless you, Fr. Michael Field

Son en su mayoría positivos, alentadores y comprensivos de la importancia para el futuro de la parroquia universi-taria. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, is welcoming adults into the process for the upcoming li-turgical year. RCIA is for adults who are either:

▪ Unbaptized and seeking all Catholic sacraments of Initiation ▪ Baptized Catholic, but seeking First Communion and Confirmation

▪ Baptized in another Christian denomination and seeking to enter the Catholic faith ▪ Still unsure, but curious about the Catholic Church and want to learn more

Special Needs Faith Formation Program: The St. John of God Community Services Special Needs Faith Formation Program is a program designed specifically for children or adults with disabilities and serves families within the Camden Diocese. The program aims at preparing these individuals to receive the sacraments, as well as attend post sacrament classes, such as scripture study, arts and crafts, and the bell choir. There is also an outreach program for families. The program is offered in our school/center in Westville Grove, NJ. Classes are held on Saturdays from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Home-based instruction is also availa-ble for children and adults who are unable to attend in the school setting due to medical reasons. St. John of God Community Services is currently accepting registrations for the 2017-2018 school year. The classes run from September through May. Catholic Campus Ministry Summer is here and the change of pace is hitting us all. Don't let it catch you off-guard. Sometimes in moments of transition, when our sched-ules change, it is easy to let our relationship with God and our prayer life slide to the back-burner. It's especially easy in the summer when our schedules are so incon-sistent with vacation days and alternating work sched-ules. But summer break does not mean a break with God. In times like these, it's important to come up with a game plan. Maybe it's time to look at your weekly calen-dar and create intentional "appointments" with God, whether it is a daily Mass, a rosary, Bible-reading, or a walk with God in nature. Be creative, but most im-portantly, be prepared.

El proceso de Encuentro para el ministerio hispano / latino ha sido profundamente eclesial. Clases de Prevención de Asalto Infantil En la Diócesis de Camden, el programa de capacitación sobre el medio ambiente seguro para adultos que tienen contacto regular con menores se llama New Jersey Child Assault Prevention o CAP (Prevención de Asalto Infantil de Nueva Jersey). La Diócesis de Camden requiere que

los adultos en contacto regular con menores de edad asistan a la CAP una vez cada cinco años. CAP 1 es una introducción al abuso y asalto infantil y enseña a los adul-
