The Skeletal System: Structures
• Key Structures:• 1. Bones – hard connective tissue that supports
the body• 2. Cartilage – connective tissue that supports the
body, softer and more flexible than bone.• 3. Ligaments – strip of tough connective tissue in
a joint that holds bones together• 4. Tendons – tough connective tissue that joins
muscle to bone
