Shma Koleinu exists for the purpose of serving Jews, Jewish families, and those who love them, with high

quality Jewish programming, meaningful spiritual experiences, opportunities for personal growth,

and a visionary voice.

Rabbi Scott wants you to know...how grateful and inspired he is by you. Your presence, your gener-osity of heart and attention, your energy, whether in person or online, are what make the High Holy Days matter. Together during these ten days of awe (Yamim Noraim), Rabbi Laura, Hannah, our musi-cians, and Rabbi Scott are committed to creating for you a space of inspiration, intensity, and intellect in the hopes that you will discover new ways of seeing, feeling, and understanding your life and those whom you live with, work with, and love. These days of awe belong to you. They have arrived and soon, they will be gone. We’ve rehearsed and prepared to provide the most meaningful experience we can. But now its up to you. What will you do with these hours and days ahead? What trajectory for yourself will you set? What might you wish to feel, to learn, to discover to-night, tomorrow, and through the next ten days? Even if you don’t have what you might consider “the perfect answer,” that’s OK. Just pick one and get going. This is to be a sanctuary of time, whose gates are open-ing. Join us with your whole self and you will find these days indeed to be days of awe.

Renewal Workshops Yom Kippur Afternoon 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Links Will be Sent to All Who Register

Details about each workshop and registration information can be found on the website.

Each year at Shma Koleinu, our Yom Kippur experience includes what we call “Renewal Workshops.” Focused on teshuvah, which means turning or returning towards directions in our lives that are healthier, more honest, more open, and freer than how we have lived our lives in the past. We do not prescribe or presume what that can mean to you. However, we have found that when the prayers, hopes and dreams that can be summoned in our hearts and minds on Yom Kippur have the chance to be activated through creative and informative media, the lessons of the day stand a better chance of “sticking.” And very importantly, every-one is invited to attend the “Renewal Workshops” whether or not you or they are engaged in a whole day of Yom Kippur ob-servance.

“Yom Kippur Your Way”

The workshops do not presume any previous knowledge or experience in their medium. So just give it a try!
