Purpose of the Project: With the goal to spark the burning passion of Rotaract Members and Officers as well, the group organized this event to make the members acquainted with each other in order to have a harmonious relationship to achieve the vision – mission of the Rotary for the whole Rotaract Year.

Description of the Project: With the presence of the RCMB members and the

Rotaractors from La Salle, the event had been a successful one. The officers have been introduced and the members are well acquainted with each other. Purpose of the Project: The purpose of this event is to ensure the effective integration of the new officers into the club. A new starter needs to understand how the club works and what's expected of them, as well as being quite clear regarding their responsibilities.

Description of the Project: Members and Officers of the Club took their oath as bona fide part of the Rotary Circle. This was done to be consistent with LaSalle’s criterion of encouraging both members and key officers of the club to involve in the club’s future activities and projects.

Purpose of the Project: Since Facebook is one of the most powerful social networking services currently available, Creation of Rotaract Group in FB would further promote brand presence, share news/events with other Rotaract Members and stimulate relevant discussion all in one spot.

Description of the Project: Even the members are not in school (Rotaract Lasalle is a

university-based), and the group have an accessible way in to the internet almost anywhere, the Rotaractors could freely post their feedbacks, suggestions and comments to any projects or advocacy they adhered to or will be engaging in the future.

One example of which is the aid and effort of each Rotaract Member to submit an activity / accomplishment report for this Rotaract Bidbook through FB. This raged the burning passion of Lasallians to help the club all the more. It was named Rotaract_<uslX> (this is an open group).

Purpose of the Project: To carry our various activities by which Rotary is enjoyed by all Rotaract members and friends. This is to bring Rotaract into all Homes and bring participation from all members of Rotaractors in every Rotary club. One of the main objectives of this fellowship is also to increase the bonding between the members and the key officers of the club.

Description of the Project:Every Saturday, the Rotaractors from La Salle get together

at one of the member’s house to convene and talk about not-so-serious type of discussions involving club affairs, but issues that are humorous, personal, common or any topic under the sun. Usually, Geric Hagamman’s house is the preferred and the favorite spot of the Rotaract members. Watching DVDs, listening to music, out–of–town trips, bar hopping, etc., were usually the leisure pursuit of Rotaractors as their means for fellowship and camaraderie.

Purpose of the project: Being more than co-organizers of the congress, we were tasked to create a debate with this proposition: “Is industrialization a blessing or a curse to mankind?” So our purposes for creating such an activity are as follows a.)In order to make the programme less boring brought about by properly formal debates in Kongreso ng Kabataan, b.) To be able to impart important facts/Philosophies on the audience through a meaningful but fun and interesting way.

Description of the Project: This project was done during the middle part of

the Kongreso. A week prior to the event, we had gathered 4 Interact (High School) members to participate in the event and they ended up taking the side of the pro-environment side. In order to add an element of surprise and thrill to the proceedings, we decided to pit them against “Guest Debaters”. (actually 3rd year Political Science Students Keith Anthony G. Balbin and Lancelot De La Torre J.R, both are also fellow Rotaractors) The first part of the debate was based on the Oregon-Oxford style of debate and in the later part it was heavily modified (now 4 HS-interactors vs. 2 College Pol. Sci students) to be able to get more from the said event (and maybe somehow even the odds). The audience was left feeling enlightened and entertained.

Purpose of the Project: To make the marginalized kids of Brgy. 19 feel the Lasallian concern and bestow on them the chance to see the different angle of the school campus.

Description of the Project: This is the joint project between the Rotaract Lasalle and the Political Science Society USLS Chapter. Fun games and talent shows were prepared for the kids to get pleasure from it. The kids, as observed, were never hesitant and diffident to let somebody see what they’ve got and to prove that poverty has never been a hindrance to advance. As for the feeding part, it seems like a birthday party with hotdogs, party hats, lumpia and everything made available. The two clubs were successful in its mission to actualize the last day’s theme of the University Week dubbed as the “La Salle Gives Back” Day.

Purpose: This project aims for public awareness on the significance of Mangroves. Through this information, our environment will be saved from different and possible calamities brought about by these horrifying situations.

Description: Through this information dissemination, people became more knowledgeable regarding the importance of Mangroves and how it helps our environment. Basically, Mangroves are the first line indicators on the well being of our coastlines, a thriving community of mangroves usually indicated good water quality. They slow down soil erosion and some species of mangroves actually help in reclaiming land with their complex root systems. Their prop roots offer protection to many species of insects and fish. Having been able to spread this information gives the Rotaractors the satisfaction that, if not all, at least many of the concerned citizen of our community will actually be involved in Mangrove planting activities, in order to help our environment.
