Greenport VenloAt the heart of this region is Greenport Venlo: a unique form of cooperation between

entrepreneurs, the Dutch government, scientists, educational institutes and local residents in

the � elds of agribusiness, food, fresh produce and � owers. The key aims of this cooperation are

to promote innovations, create an attractive residential and working environment and boost

integrated regional development. Here you � nd a tremendous concentration of closely related

businesses such as vegetable and plant nurseries, auctions, sales organizations, trading

companies, exporters, horticultural suppliers and breeders and propagators of plants and seeds.

More than 20,000 businesses within a radius of approximately 80km around Venlo and 50 million

consumers can be directly accessed.. Many of those businesses are family enterprises, have highly

trained sta� and a rich history in agriculture and logistics. Greenport Venlo is also the launching

pad of the new manufacturing and knowledge industry resulting from giving economic value to

residual substances from food products and converting food and feed into sustainable energy.

such as the international � ower auction Flora Holland, Royal DSM - active

in health and nutrition -, Seacon Logistics, Oce–Canon, one of the global

leaders in printing and document management, Nunhems, the vegetable

seed company of Bayer Crop Science, and the ZON Fruit & Vegetables

auction are all based in Greenport Venlo.

Renowned knowledge organizations such as the Wageningen University

and Research Centre, the Technical University of Eindhoven with its High-

Tech Campus, and Maastricht University, specialized in Life Sciences and

Biomaterials & Systems Biology, all lie less than an hour away. Many Chinese

students have already found their way to this smart region.

Greenport Venlo comprises a regional development project of 5,400

hectares, in which working landscapes are developed in a sustainable way

and incorporated in the landscape. Space, economy and quality of life

within the inspiring context of the cradle-to-cradle principle are the core

Cooperation with the China Flower AssociationOn 10 September 2012, Venlo GreenPark signed a contract with the China Flower Association. The

China Flower Association will support Venlo Greenpark until 2015 with the development of the

Venlo GreenPark is home to the China pavilion and the stunning Chinese garden that formed the

Chinese exhibit at Floriade 2012. The pavilion was presented to the Dutch government by the

China Flower Associaton and is the ideal venue for Chinese companies interested in setting up a

business and evolving in Europe.

Venlo GreenPark o� ers a full solution for living and doing business in Europe.

In the area surrounding the China pavilion, a high-tech, state-of-the-art business park will be built.

The buildings can be divided � exibly, so companies can choose which part of the building they

wish to rent and how it is equipped and furnished. All the o� ces feature a green courtyard - provi-

The Innovatoren has a non-pro� t Service Centre that will gladly provide service to Chinese clients
