Rockstar Cheer is the most successful athlec program of its type in South Carolina serving the top
compeve cheer athletes in the area. Entering our 7th season Rockstar has over 200 Naonal Titles and
is sll the only program in the state with World Championship Medals (2 Silver & 2 Bronze). Considered
one of the top programs in the enre country in cheer, Rockstar will now enter the world of dance. This
season we’re proud to announce Rockstar Dance!
The success could not be achieved without an amazing staff. Working for Rockstar Cheer is
considered a huge honor among cheer professionals in the industry. Our reputaon and talent level of
our athletes make this one of the most sought-a1er places to work in cheer & dance. While pushing our
athletes to be the very best, we take pride in offering the safest environment possible. Our mature and
experienced USASF cerfied coaches are passionate and professional about their jobs. From the moment
you join you will experience the Rockstar treatment!
The most direct way that we help the athletes in our program is by improving their skills and
helping them reach their athlec potenal, but we believe our program serves a higher purpose.
Throughout their lives, everyone will be put in situaons where they must work together with others to
achieve common goals. Life lessons such as work ethic, responsibility, accountability and teamwork help
build character. No other sport builds self-esteem for youth than all-star cheerleading. The hours, weeks,
months, even years of work that go into improving stunts, tumbling, jumps, and moons will improve
your fitness and skills. More importantly, athletes learn about sportsmanship, working together towards
goals, and striving to win. Besides the success of our program on the mat, we are most proud of the life
lessons that we have been able to give to the athletes at Rockstar Cheer!
FAMILYFAMILYFAMILY
FIRST CLASS FACILITY
In addion to our world class staff and Rockstar athletes, we
have one the top facilies in the Southeast. Our facility allows the
athletes to safely train in air-condioned comfort during the hot
summers. Using the latest training equipment and technology Rockstar
cuts no corners. Parents & siblings have a dedicated viewing area
where they may watch pracces, satellite TV or enjoy our free wi-fi
connecon. We also have a Rockstar Lounge for the athletes to study,
watch TV or enjoy snacks and refreshments.
PHILOSOPHY
When you tryout at Rockstar, you are accepng a spot in the
Rockstar program. Rockstar is a family of teams; therefore, we run our
teams as one program-one family. We choose our teams so the
program comes first, the team comes second, and the individual third.
We would love for each team to have a full squad of athletes with the
maximum tumbling skills allowed for that level. Unfortunately, that is
not the reality in some instances. For example, while your athlete may
be a Level 4 tumbler, this doesn’t equate being placed on a Level 4
team. Your athlete may not be a level 4 jumper, stunter or dancer. We
must choose our teams according to bases, backspots and flyers,
which make up the stunt groups. All teams must have stunt group
combinaons that will give each team the proper amount of stunt
groups. At Rockstar, our instructors teach: PERFECTION before
PROGRESSION. This approach has allowed us to be very successful on
the Naonal Level.
CONFIDENCECONFIDENCECONFIDENCE
We try to make our pracces and compeons fun,
rewarding, and producve. We aAempt to create a posive
learning environment at Rockstar. We also push the athletes
to be the best they can be. We set goals as a team and
individuals while teaching accountability. We
expect our athletes to improve their
technique and progress their skills
through efficient pracces.

PRACTICES
In order to be compeve at naonal cheerleading compeons, there are many extensive training
pracces that will develop your athlete. These pracces are designed to allow each athlete to grow in skill
and character. While we strive to teach each athlete the very best in all-star cheerleading, we hope to
make the experience fun, excing and full of lasng memories. We realize that summers are vacaon
mes for most, and we expect missed pracces from all athletes. If you should have a vacaon or planned
trips that will cause you to miss a pracce, please make sure you contact your coach. All absences from
pracces must be excused by the coach. Should you get sick or have any sudden circumstance to miss a
pracce, you must contact your coach immediately (not the gym). If you do not call and miss a pracce, it
could be grounds for instant removal from the program. Remember, a team can only be successful if all
members are there and work together. Here is the pracce schedule for all teams:
May-October (All Youth, Junior & Senior Teams)/May-August (Mini Teams) Pracces start May 12th
Mandatory- 1 Team pracce + 1 tumbling class or school pracce per week (Can take more classes-Oponal)
November-April (All Youth, Junior & Senior Teams)/Sept-April (Mini Teams) Pracces start Nov 3rd
Mandatory– 2 Team pracces per week (Can take more classes-Oponal)
Starng immediately aer tryouts, all athletes will pracce in Level Specific Groups. Teams will be selected
someme during the summer. We will use those pracces to put together stunt groups for each team.
FLIGHT SCHOOL
There will be a class taught at Rockstar for all flyers in the program. This class is called “Flight
School”. Enrollment in this class is mandatory for all flyers to aAend once weekly from June-Aug 2013.
The class will focus on intense stretching and proper body posions in stunts. There is no addional fee for
this class. These classes will be offered as scheduled and each flyer must be enrolled in one of those
classes. These class mes will be available for you to enroll by the end of the 1st week of pracces. Please
check with the front desk a1er your 1st team pracce. The coaches will inform your athlete if they should
aAend this class. This doesn’t guarantee they will be a flyer on a team.

with elements such as: Tumbling, Stunts, Jumps,
Moons, Pyramids, Baskets & Dance. These
all-star rounes are very elaborate and take all
year to develop and perfect. These rounes
are referred to as choreography. It is
mandatory that every member aAends these
sessions. Rounes are very complex and
somemes take weeks, or months for athletes
to memorize and learn. This is why it is
mandatory and imperave that all team
members are present when learning the
rounes.
