LIFETEEN IS ALSO THE HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP OF ST. JOSEPH PARISH, DANVILLE! Parents of St. Joseph Parish highschoolers: Please encourage your teen to attend Lifeteen. We leave the St. Joseph School Parking Lot every Sunday evening at 5:30 PM. and return at 8:30 PM.

Life Teen is open to all high schoolers!!

June 16th No Life Teen tonight. Happy Fathers’ Day!!!!

We are taking ideas for some exciting things to do this summer as a Life Teen group. Bring your ideas to Life Teen next week.

Over the summer, we will follow a series on “The Real Jesus”. We will also be doing some fun things in between. Next week’s Life Night is called “Surfer Jesus”. KEY CONCEPTS of the night include: • Like our relationships with all people, our relationship and understanding of who Jesus is grows with time and we are continually called to know Him deeper and trust Him more. • In Jesus’ teachings, while not explicitly saying that He is God, Jesus reveals Himself to be the Son of God. • The name “Jesus” does not mean “gentle” or “nice” but “He who saves.” Jesus is our Savior. He does not take the path of least resistance but willingly enters into suffering and dies so that we might be saved.

Life Teen is open to all high schoolers!! We meet from 6 to 8 in the Life Teen room in the St. Columba parish center. Enter through the library in the rear by the school playground.

DONATIONS APPRECIATED!!! Thank you to anyone who has graciously donated snacks and monetary gifts to Life Teen. If you would like to help with snack donations, we could use snacks of any kind. Bought or baked…it’s all good. We can also make great use of gift cards: Giant, Weis, Walmart…. We provide pizza and snacks for the teens every week, so if you can help in any way it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so very much!!!

Life Teen meets every Sunday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) in the Life Teen room, located upstairs in the parish center at St. Columba Church, Bloomsburg. Enter through the Parish Library by the school playground in the back of the Church. Food, fun, fellowship, and faith. Come and be a part of this dynamic ministry. Life Night’s are open to high schoolers.

You can obtain more information on the bulletin board in the lobby or by contacting Andy Matragrano at 570-275-0972.

CHRIST IS RISEN. We celebrate this truth with joy not only on Easter Sunday but on every Sunday. Celebrating the Day of the Lord is at the heart of who we are as Christians. St. John Paul II urged Catholics “to work tirelessly . . . to ensure that the value of this sacred day is understood and lived ever more deeply.” We are responding to this call by having this as our theme for the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph Church. Please reflect on ways that you can celebrate the Lord’s Day more fruitfully in your life and on ways we can help each other as a parish to do so as we, in the coming months, unwrap the rich meaning of the Lord’s Day. Contact Eric Young [email protected]; Fred Miller [email protected]; or Ellen Matragrano [email protected] or 570 275-0972 with any comments or suggestions.
